Chelsea midfielder Jorginho plans to stay at Stamford Bridge for at least another four years, according to his agent.
After moving to Chelsea last summer, Jorginho managed to play 54 games for Chelsea last season in all competitions and became an integral part of plans under Sarri.
However, after the Italian left the club and made the move to Juventus, there had been speculation in the media which suggested he could follow Sarri back to Seria A, with the Italian reportedly interested in a deal.
But after deciding to stay at the club and prove himself to the Chelsea fans, the Italy international has impressed in the early goings of the new Premier League season and he has been an integral part of Frank Lampard’s side.
And amid talk that Juventus may come calling during the January window, his agent Joao Santos has revealed his client has no intention of moving and plans on staying at Chelsea for at least the next four years.
“We have mid-to-long-term project with Chelsea,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“There are five years left on his contract and let’s say he’d like to stay for at least another four years.”
There are still many Chelsea fans out there that believe that Jorginho is not the world class player that attracted all sorts of interest from some of the games biggest clubs before he signed for Chelsea, especially as his stats have not been that great since his move to London.
But Lampard is getting something out of him this season and he is starting to find his feet at the club, which is great news for the player himself and great news for Chelsea fans, as they need his experience in the side.
There could be many players brought in over the coming transfer windows, so Jorginho needs to keep on improving, or he may be forced to leave the club if he continues to under-perform, especially during the biggest games for Chelsea.
