Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed –
It has been claimed that Liverpool may still have a chance to sign Vinicius Junior at the end of the season should Mohammed Salah leave the club.
Salah signed a new LIVERPOOL contract just last summer (2022), keeping him at the club until June 2025 and netting him a reported wage of £350,000-a-week, but there has been some talk that a stunning transfer move could happen.
Salah has emerged as a target for Al-Ittihad with reports emerging from Saudi Arabia throughout the week of an imminent bid for the 31-year-old, and it has been claimed the Saudi Pro League champions are willing to make the Reds winger the highest-paid player in history.
It was thought that they were ready to significantly increase their offer for the Egyptian winger to an eye-watering £215m but he ended up staying with the Reds. But it is believed that they will try again, with Saudi clubs determined to acquire the biggest and best footballers in the world.
One name who has been mentioned as a possible candidate capable of filling this void is Vinicius, whose current contract is set to expire next summer.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
Talk of the 23-year-old potentially leaving the Spanish capital began to increase at the end of last season having been subjected to a latest case of racial abuse from supporters in stadiums
Spanish outlet Sport have suggested ‘a door for hope could open’ for Liverpool as the situation remains unresolved. It had been suggested last summer the Brazilian had agreed a new long-term contract, though this is still yet to be confirmed by the club.
As a result, Liverpool are keeping a very close eye should Salah decide that it will be the right time to leave the club.

LIVERPOOL fans love Salah, he is one of the best players in the world and a man that has helped bring so much success. But maybe it is time for him to go? For the Reds to get £200 million and bring in some fresh talent.
And if they managed to get Vinicius Junior, he would be a very exciting signing for the Reds.
THIAGO WANTS OUT?
There has been some claims that Turkish side Trabzonspor are keen on trying to sign Liverpool star Thiago before their deadline.
A hip injury ruled Thiago out for most of last season, with Jurgen Klopp not able to start him since the 3-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers in February.
The Spaniard’s frustrating campaign epitomized LIVERPOOL ’s mood overall as he struggled to make an impact in 2022-23, and there is a feeling that he could be sold this summer.
A report last month claimed Thiago is wanted by former club Barcelona, where he emerged as a youngster over a decade ago, but there has also been talk that a move to Turkey.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
According to reports in Turkey, Thiago Alcantara is subject to interest from Trabzonspor.
According to Aksam, the Turkish outfit are looking to make a move for the Liverpool midfielder ahead of the deadline in the region. It has been claimed that they will look to bring in the Spaniard, who has one-year remaining on his deal, in the next two days.
In the report, it has been said that Thiago knows he won’t be playing much at Liverpool and wants to go somewhere he will play.
Thiago is a world class player that is just not Premier League material – his body cant handle it.
If a right offer does arrive then maybe Klopp will be open to selling – but If he does decide to leave – he will be a big loss to the squad as he can be brilliant at times for LIVERPOOL – it is just a shame that he has been hampered by injuries.
However – despite the latest rumours – we cant really see him leaving the club.
ANDRE TIP –
Liverpool have been tipped to sign Fluminense star Andre during the January transfer window.
Alex Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo have arrived in the summer window as LIVERPOOL looked to revamp the side, while the Reds were also linked with the likes of Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Fluminense star Andre.
Jurgen Klopp knows that he is a man that did not manage to get all the transfer business done that he had hoped for over the summer, and will try and use the January window to add a few more new faces to the side.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now indicated that Liverpool “will keep monitoring the player” and his situation is “something to keep an eye on”.
“It’s not over; it’s still something we have to keep an eye on because Liverpool really like Andre,” Romano said via his Here We Go podcast. “They had positive conversations with Fluminense; they have good relationships.
“Fluminense were showing how strong they are in the Brazilian and South American market as they said ‘no way the player is leaving’, so credit to Fluminense.
“It was not easy, but I think Liverpool will keep monitoring the player. This is a special player, this is not a normal player. Andre is a very, very good player.”
Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt recently revealed that he has been in “direct” contact with Liverpool and they can “start talking” in December: “There is an agreement between us, with the player and representative, that he would stay until the end of the year and they comply fully and with the utmost tranquillity,” Bittencourt told ESPN.
“What they have done is the work as a representative of the athlete that is: all the polling that arrives they communicate to Fluminense.
“In the case of LIVERPOOL, I go even further. Liverpool’s Chief Executive contacted me directly. And I replied to him, ‘My friend, I don’t sell players now and I don’t deliver now.’
“If you want to buy now to take in January we can start talking, or if you want to wait until December and we talk in December.”
