£200 million target told to leave, Prem star sent message ahead of possible Man United move, Goal-machine ‘perfect’ for Manchester United

Kane told to leave, McNeil sent message about possible United move, Neville claims superstar perfect for United in Manchester United news

Phil Thompson has told Manchester United transfer target Harry Kane that he should leave Tottenham if he wants too.

Regarded as one of the best strikers in the game right now and one of the main reasons why Tottenham are such an exciting team to watch, there has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few days about the future of the England International.

Kane has not won any trophies just yet and with Spurs seemingly heading in the wrong direction under Jose Mourinho, he recently came out and admitted that he may have to leave the club in order to get the success that he is looking for, with United keen on trying to nail down his signature.

Now Liverpool legend Thompson has told the Spurs man that he should leave Spurs, He told Sky Sports: “If you’d asked me about Kane needing to leave during the middle of last season, I’d have said ‘no’ because I could see Spurs winning trophies.

“But Tottenham have regressed. Without doubt that interview with Jamie Redknapp was one of the first times we saw a chink in his armour where he was doubting whether the club was in the right position.

“He wants to win things and he was saying that he’s not set in his ways. If Spurs can show their commitments to try to move forward with signings in the summer, then I’m sure Kane will stay there but ultimately the decision lies with the player.

“You don’t want a disenchanted player in your dressing-room. Liverpool have had it in the past with Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho, and it makes for a bad atmosphere.

“I know he’s a good guy, but if he somehow gives that inkling that he wants to leave, Spurs would then have to move forward and would have to sell him.”

Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier has advised Manchester United target, Dwight McNeil not to rush into making a move to a bigger club.

Despite the fact that the season has been stopped and despite the fact that the transfer window is many months away, there has been alot of transfer speculation regarding the United and whether or not Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be able to bring in the players he would like.

And that has led to some reports in the media suggesting that McNeil has caught the eye of the United boss, as he seeks to improve having become one of England’s most outstanding young players in the Premier League this season.

Trippier, however, recalled how he struggled to win a starting spot when he made his move from Burnley to Tottenham earlier in his career, and has advised McNeil to stay put for the time being as he will not know how his development will go if he moves to a club like Arsenal.

“Dwight has burst onto the scene, and when he trained with us last season for England he was brilliant,” Trippier was quoted on the SUN

“He’s got to stay focused, keep performing well while he’s young, and his time will come. I’d say ‘don’t rush anything, just keep playing’ and Dwight is at the right club to do that. He just needs to keep playing games, because that’s the most important thing for somebody his age.

“He’s got the right manager to guide him and he’ll be in no rush to go anywhere. If I was him I’d stay put and keep playing games.”

He Added: “Sometimes it can be difficult when you go to another club. I’ve experienced it. I went to Tottenham and I didn’t play for months and you get frustrated.

“For somebody like him, who is doing really well, why would you move now? There’s no point. Just keep performing well on the biggest stage and stay put.

“I was in a different situation to him, I’d just been relegated so I needed to go to a Premier League club.

“He’s playing well week in week out for a Premier League club. He’s a big player for Burnley. I’d stay put if I was him and keep enjoying his football.”

Gary Neville says Tottenham striker Harry Kane would be a perfect signing for Manchester United.

Regarded as one of the finest strikers in the game right now, and one of the most deadliest in the Premier League, Kane has hit the transfer headlines over the past few weeks after he came out and announced that he could leave the Spurs in the coming seasons if they fail to progress.

That has led to all sorts of rumours in the media linking him with a move to the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United Real Madrid and even PSG, as many regard him as a world class striker that is playing in a side that has limited capabilities right now.

Now reports on the Daily Mail have claimed that the Spurs striker is open to the idea of leaving the club at the end of the season and linking up with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as he is intrigued by the prospect of moving to Old Trafford.

Now Neville believes Manchester United’s reported interest in the England captain is typical of the club, who often chase homegrown stars: “Any club in the Premier League would want Harry Kane, He said on Sky Sports.

There are some signings that are like gold, where you just know they are going to work. Harry Kane is unbreakable in the sense of his mentality. He’ll always score goals, will always give 100 per cent in training, and is completely reliable as a manager would want.

“For Manchester United, it would be a perfect signing in terms of what they need,” he added

“They had Bruno Fernandes come in and he’s done a great job, Harry Maguire at the back. If they can get someone like Kane up front, you’re looking at a fantastic spine.”

Kane to United would be a dream for many, but would Spurs really sell their star man to a top four rival?
