Italian tipped to Arsenal move, Chelsea determined to complete £90m deal and winger hands Man United transfer boost in news of the day
Allegri tipped to make Arsenal move, Man United get boost in transfer chase and Chelsea determined to sign up Kane in news of the day…
Max Allegri has been tipped to replace Mikel Arteta at Arsenal when the board give the Spaniard the boot.
Many Gunners fans were excited when Arteta has handed the chance to try and lead Arsenal back to the very top of the game and after that FA Cup win last season, there was a feeling that he was the right man for the job.
However, this season has not been the best for the Spaniard and the only thing keeping him in that job was the fact he guided the Gunners to a Europa League semi-final, where they once again failed to impress like many had hoped.
There have been calls for Arteta to go with the club destined to be without European football for the first time in 25 years, and a number of managers have been linked with a move to the club over the past few days.
Massimiliano Allegri, the former Juventus boss, is the current frontrunner as the next Arsenal manager, according to Betfair, with Brendan Rodgers also said to be in the running.
Speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast, Trevor Sinclair said: “As much as you want him to do well as a young manager, he’s brought a trophy to the football club already, which to me is one of the biggest reasons why he’s still in a job
“You just look at the performances and the lack of consistency and probably the lack of discipline since he’s been in charge.
“It’s just been a bit underwhelming. The Arsenal fans wanted to welcome him back to the club as a success.
“I think he had a fantastic apprenticeship with Pep Guardiola, but this job is far too big.”
Allegri is a world class boss and just the type of manager that would bring success back to the Emirates.
Manchester United target target Jadon Sancho admits he cannot say for certain what the future holds for him ahead of the summer window.
Regarded as one of the finest talents in world football, Sancho has developed into a class act over in the Bundesliga over the past few seasons and he is now a player that is tipped to become one of the best in world football.
Sancho has long been a top transfer priority for the Blues, but Dortmund have been equally stubborn in holding on to one of their top young stars. Yet there are reports in the media which have claimed that Dortmund would allow him to leave in the summer for £78 million.
And amid all the speculation that United will try and make a move for Sancho in the summer window, he has now come out and opened the door to a possible deal by admitting that he does not know where his future is.
“I don’t know about my future,” the 21-year-old told ESPN on Saturday after netting twice in his side’s 3-2 defeat of RB Leipzig.
“I am very happy here in Dortmund at the moment. I love the club, the fans and the team.
“They gave me my first professional start. The fans motivate and push me to the limit.”
Sancho is a player that United like very much and they will surely be a club that make an official move for the man should he come onto that transfer market in the summer. So with the season coming to a close, it will be interesting to see where Sancho goes.
We would love to see him in the Premier League guys.
Chelsea are determined to win the race for Tottenham striker Harry Kane in the summer transfer window.
Spurs have their most prized asset tied to a contract through to the summer of 2024 and that is helping to keep his asking price up, with Daniel Levy and Co under no pressure to sell.
But as he enters the prime years of his career, there has been alot of speculation that he may force a move away at the end of the season in a bid to fulfil his dream of adding some silverware to that cabinet
That has led to reports in the media that Chelsea will be interested in a transfer deal, as Thomas Tuchel knows that he needs to add a world class striker to the attack that will be able to net 30-goals a season.
And reports have claimed Chelsea are determined to win the race for Tottenham striker Harry Kane – according to Football Insider.
The news come after Kane claimed he is convinced that major trophies “will come” for him: “I’ve done so many things in the game but there’s still so many things in my head that I want to achieve.
“I spoke openly about [winning silverware]. That’s the reason why I play the game, that’s why I became a footballer – to win and have those experiences with my team-mates, lifting trophies and winning the biggest games.
“It hasn’t happened so far but I feel I’ve got plenty of time in my locker. I’m just looking forward and I’m sure they will come.”
It is a massive decision from Kane and many Spurs fans will be hoping that he stays, but they will surely understand if he decides to leave right?
