25-year old star OFFICIALLY tells Liverpool fans he wants transfer move!
LIVERPOOL goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has confirmed that he wanted to leave the club in the summer after they agreed a deal for Giorgi Mamardashvili, and will look to leave Anfield in the future.
LIVERPOOL made the big decision in the summer to wrap up the signing of Mamardashvili amid all the speculation over the long-term future of Alisson, who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia for months.
Kelleher, 25, has made a total of 47 first-team appearances for Liverpool, but they have come in dribs and drabs. Last season, he played in 10 Premier League games and is likely to face a similarly reduced role this season behind Alisson.
Now – he has come out and revealed that he wanted to leave Liverpool in the summer window and will look to leave the club in the near future as he does not want to keep playing back-up – Kelleher told reporters: “I made it clear in the last few years that I want to go somewhere and be a number one.
‘The club has made that decision to get a goalkeeper (Mamardashvili) which makes it look like they’ve made a decision to go in another direction. Liverpool have rejected a few bids as well.
‘It’s not always in my hands to fully make the decision. My ambition is clear. I’m good enough and I want to go and play week in, week out.”

Kelleher is a very decent stopper that wants to play and it is a shame that he does want to leave the club as he has been a decent servant for Liverpool – but now is the right time.
There will be a chance to leave in the January window – there are clubs interested – but we are sure LIVERPOOL will allow him to leave at the end of the season.
