Arsenal legend Keown expects Italian to make summer move after Chelsea fans see Juventus agreement?

Gunners legend Martin Keown fully expects Maurizio Sarri to follow Eden Hazard out of Chelsea this summer.

Despite the fact Sarri has done what he was appointed to do last summer and get Chelsea back inside the top four and Champions League football for next season, and the fact that he has become European Champions, there has been speculation that he will depart the club.

Owner Roman Abramovic has not been impressed with the Italians tactics and playing style, with Sarri failing to bring the exciting style of play that made him such an attractive boss to watch during his spell with Napoli.

That has led to speculation in the media that Chelsea will indeed get rid of the Italian in the coming weeks if he fails to deliver the Europa League cup, with the likes of Max Allegri Javi Gracia and legendary midfielder Frank Lampard all linked with a return back to the club.

And Keown believes Sarri will still get the boot, despite his impressive first season in England.

He was quoted on the Daily Express: “They’ve won 15 trophies under Abramovich and nearly as many managers. It’s been an okay first season if you compare it to Guardiola, it’s even better than his first season.

“But actually there has been previous Chelsea managers, Conte and Mourinho, who have won the Premier League in their first season, so it’s difficult for him.“

If reports are true and Sarri has agreed a move to Juventus, then it will be a big loss to the Premier League as he is one of the very best coaches in Europe right now, and now he has picked up the European crown, it will be a big mistake from the Blues hierarchy.

But it will be interesting to see if legend Frank Lampard does replace the Italian as all indications suggest that he the man that owner Roman Abramovic wants.
