Right decision? Forget Pochettino as Arsenal legend wants Red Devils legend to get Man United jobs

Arsenal legend Martin Keown has urged Manchester United to appoint Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on a permanent basis.

United are back in the hunt for a Premier League top four spot and Champions League football next season since the arrival of Solskjaer, who has won an impressive nine matches out of the ten he has managed.

But there has been alot of speculation that United will try to acquire the services of Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino in the summer, as the Red Devils are massive fans of the Argentine boss and reportedly feel he is the man to bring success back to the club.

However, Keown believes Solskjaer deserves the job, telling the Daily Mail: ‘Solskjaer has done more than enough in his first 10 games as Manchester United caretaker manager to prove he should get the job full-time.

‘His team are displaying the traits of Sir Alex Ferguson’s great teams. We rarely saw that under David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho.

‘United have a manager now who gets this club’s DNA. ‘Winning 2-1 at Arsenal in the FA Cup, with less than 20 minutes to go, Solskjaer went for broke and threw on Martial and Rashford to finish the Gunners off. Who does that remind you of?’

Here is what we think on Solskjaer.

Solskjaer was brought in to steady the ship after the sacking of Jose Mourinho, and he has transformed the Red Devils back into one of the best teams in the Premier League, and a real threat to every side in England.

So if he continues to pick up the results and possibly adds some silverware to the cabinet, then surely United have no choice but to hand him the permanent managers position?
