Brazilian tells Manchester United to wrap up shock January deal for unhappy Juventus star Emre Can
Manchester United should make a move for former Liverpool star Emre Can to bolster Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad, former star Kleberson has claimed.
Despite becoming an integral part of the side under Jurgen Klopp, the German midfielder could not agree terms on a new contract, with some reports suggesting he wanted more that the club were willing to pay.
It prompted Klopp to head into the transfer market and acquire the services of both Naby Keita and Fabinho, as he looked to fill the void which has been left by Can, and while both players have become an integral part of the Liverpool squad, the story is completely different for Can.
The former Liverpool star has managed just four appearances this season for Juventus and suffered a sizable snub when he was omitted completely from their Champions League squad, and United are reportedly interested in bringing Can back to England and the 25-year-old has now opened up about his current frustrations.
Now Old Trafford flop Kleberson has come out and claimed that the signing of Can would seriously help improve the United side, telling BonusCodeBets: “Emre Can would be a great player to help in the midfield at United.
“I know he used to play for their rivals Liverpool, but it is important to see what good things he would bring to the club. Not only would he help United for the future and he would add strength with-in the midfield for this season.”
The January transfer window is only a few months away and United seriously need to add some experienced members of the squad that will help improve their situation, as this current side will struggled to get back challenging for a top four spot by the end of the season.
Can has proven himself in the Premier League and would add some solidarity to the United midfield, so if Solskjaer can get him for the right price, he could actually be a very good addition to the United midfield.
So it will be interesting to see if United manage to secure a deal, especially as Juventus have shown no desire to let the midfielder leave.
