Bale decision, Premier League title ‘for the people’, £80m Sancho on way to England in Liverpool and Man United Friday

Here is the daily roundup of Liverpool and Manchester United news, gossip and transfer talk from icfootballnews

Chelsea target Gareth Bale will make a decision on his Real Madrid future at the end of the season, according to the Welshman’s agent Jonathan Barnett.

Bale has been heavily tipped to pack his bags at the end of the season and make a move back to the Premier League, where the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are all reportedly keen on trying to nail down his services, despite his hefty price tag.

Despite his poor form and performances, Madrid still Value Bale at around £150 million and the Premier League trio would have to spend big money to land him and then pay above the £500,000-a-week he currently gets at the Spanish giants.

But although Barnett has admitted that Bale is happy at Madrid, he has also admitted that the Welshman will decide his future when the season is up.

Asked on BBC Radio 5 Live if he can see Bale in Madrid next season, Barnett said: “Yeah, why not. He wants to play the rest of his career with Real Madrid.

“If that doesn’t work out, then we’ll talk again. At the moment he’s very happy. He’ll talk with Mr Zidane and take it from there. We’ll see at the end of the season.

“He (Bale) wanted to play one way and Zidane wanted him to play another way. I think that was the cause of it. Over the period of time it just got worse.

“I think if you let Gareth play the way he wants to play and give him a run of games in a row, he can be right up there with anyone. He’s still got a great talent.”

Jurgen Klopp has admitted that winning the Premier League title this season ‘would be for the people’ and not him.

Klopp has been at Liverpool for three years now and has finally built a side that is capable of challenging for the Premier league and Champions League titles, with the Reds favourites with Manchester City to take both titles.

But Klopp has now admitted that he does not care if people remember him as the man who brought the Premier League title back to the club after 29-years and just wants to win the title for the Liverpool faithful, who dream of becoming Champions of England once again.

“I don’t need that,” Klopp said on the Sky Sports website.

“You can’t imagine how less interested I am in that. I’ve never thought about that.”

“My job is to do everything I can to help the team be as successful as possible. I’m not searching for being remembered in 50 years or whatever.

“For me it is no pressure, it is only opportunity. I love what I do, I think I have a fantastic team. That’s all I need to be a happy person. I respect a lot the desire, the people and players. I can be a part of that dream but it’s not for me, it’s for the people.

“God will judge me one day and that’s the only thing I’m interested in. What other people say about me I couldn’t be less interested in.”

Former Liverpool star Steven Nicol has claimed Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho will join Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Regarded as one of the finest talents in world football right now, the Englishman has been linked with some of the biggest clubs in world football after impressing on numerous occasions for Dortmund, becoming a creative force in the Bundesliga.

However, there has been some speculation that it is Chelsea and United that lead the chase for the talented youngster, but with the Blues facing a big transfer ban that will mean they cannot buy any players for the next few transfer windows, means that United have a clear run at completing an £80 million deal.

And Nicol believes Dortmund will not stand in Sancho’s way, telling the Daily Express website: “Well everybody would want him.

“Manchester United have shown that they have the money. Dortmund have shown that if the price is right then they will let anyone go.

“So I say yes, Sancho will go to Manchester United.”
