Barcelona are said to have been scanning the market to replace Sergio Busquets in the middle of the park and have reportedly settled on Jorginho, who has played a crucial role for Chelsea since arriving from Napoli in the summer of 2018.

His future has been the subject of speculation – but it has been claimed in recent days that a pre-agreement has been reached with the Spaniards should the star fail to agree a contract at Stamford Bridge

And if you believe the latest  reports from England  – Frenkie De Jong is one player that they may be looking to try and sign

However – according to Fichajes, Liverpool are looking to revitalize their ageing midfield and De Jong will provide the necessary quality and depth for the Merseyside Reds.

It is no secret that Klopp wants to freshen up his midfield area and is eyeing up a number of potential signings that will make an impact on the side

De Jong recently admitted that he has been told to join Liverpool: ‘A lot of people came and there was no time to have a personal conversation.

‘One guy told me I had to join Liverpool! We loved doing this, but now the focus goes to Senegal.’

If De Jong stays put and tries to fight for his place in that Barca squad – it could ruin his career as they simply do not want him

But surely a move to Liverpool would not be a bad decision?

Okafor boost –

Salzburg’s sporting director Christoph Freund has opened the door for Liverpool to try and sign talent Noah Okafor.

It is widely believed that Jurgen Klopp be backed in the next couple of transfer windows in order to sign the players that he believes can help Liverpool get back into the habit of competing for the big titles and Okafor is on the list.

Okafor, 22, is one of Europe’s most sought-after players after a red-hot start to the current season with RB Salzburg and has been linked with a host of European big guns such as Milan and Chelsea.

He has scored nine goals across all competitions this season, with 3 goals in 5 UEFA Champions League outings, and has become a regular for his club and country

Liverpool will reportedly need to fork out a sum of £35 million if they wish to sign in-demand versatile attacker

Now – amid all the speculation – Salzburg’s sporting director Christoph Freund said via Team Talk: “I think there will be a bit more going on in the transfer market than in recent years. Okafor really took off last year.

“I hope he plays a good World Cup, then the Noah Okafor stock can become very interesting. I’m not ruling it [his sale] out.”

Klopp wouldnt mind Ronaldo –

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp won’t mind the club signing former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.

There has been alot said about the future of Ronaldo over the past few weeks and whether or not he will be a player that rocks up at Chelsea in the January window.

It is no secret that Ted Boehly would like to get a deal done and it is no secret that he would be interested in a move – as he wants to add a statement signing to the squad.

Ronaldo wants Champions League football that he wants but his options are limited to just 16 teams – though only a handful of them will be interested in signing him.

Now – According to Diario AS (via Sport Witness), Klopp would not mind signing Ronaldo for a couple of months.

Despite the fact that Liverpool have a world class attack – Darwin Nunez has not hit the ground running at Anfield and has struggled to make the impact that many had hoped – so it is claimed that Klopp would min adding an impact player like Ronaldo to the squad.

Gary Neville claimed that Ronaldo will get a move to a Champions League side and will score goals

‘I think Cristiano Ronaldo is going to be looking for a top club on a four-month or five-month contract where he can go in and do a brilliant cameo role at the very elite of European football,’ the former United captain recently told Sky Sports.

‘That’s what I think his priority would be – to stay in the Champions League, to stay at the very top and prove that what happened at Manchester United wasn’t right.

‘I think he’s got four or five great months in him somewhere where he’ll go in and score 15 or 20 goals in that period.

“Everybody in Manchester will say, “why didn’t we keep him?”, and people in the Premier League will as well.

‘But he’s got that in him and I would say that would be his priority. I think he’ll get to the end of the season and then think about the next two years and what his last football project might look like.

‘Is it in the US? Is it in the Middle East? Is it somewhere else in Europe where he’s not played before?

‘I hope he does really well wherever he goes. I didn’t work out in Manchester in the end, but it was the right thing for the club to do in breaking ties and it was the right thing for Cristiano to do.’
