Jurgen Klopp announces Liverpool talks will happen regarding 22-year old Defender
Jurgen Klopp has also been discussing the short-term futures of Rhys Williams, who has returned to Liverpool after his respective loan spell at Aberdeen was cut short.
The 22-year-old defender made just one appearance for the Pittodrie side after heading north from LIVERPOOL in the summer, and the decision was made by the Reds to bring him back to the club this month.
Klopp has expressed surprise at Rhys Williams’ failed loan spell at Aberdeen, saying he’d expect the defender to play every second for all Premiership clubs outside the Old Firm.
“With Rhys it’s slightly different. He will be first with the U21s.
“I will have to talk to him about why his loan spell didn’t work out, that was obviously different.
“The boy I know, I would expect to play in Scotland, 100 percent, from the first until the last second, if it’s not Celtic or Rangers where it’s always slightly different – and he didn’t.
“I will have to talk to him about that, didn’t do that yet, but it will happen definitely. Then we will see what the outcome of that conversation is.”

We are all surprised to see that Williams failed to get the minutes that he needed to help his development – and it was totally the right decision from LIVERPOOL to bring him back to the club.
He needs to play – he needs minutes and we are sure that there will be a few clubs that are interested in the man – it is just a case of choosing the right club or he could be sitting on the bench again for the rest of the season.
