Is Rice leaving Hammers?

Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed….

Liverpool have been told they will have to pay a huge sum if they want to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.

Bellingham is a player that is on the lips of every top-class manager – as it is widely expected that he will leave Dortmund and join one of the big clubs in the game.

Liverpool is a side that are very interested – Jurgen Klopp is a reported fan of the lad – and with the German eager to freshen up his squad – there is talk that a massive offer will be made.

As reported by the Daily Mail recently, Borussia Dortmund are interested in Liverpool’s midfield talent Tyler Morton – but when asked if Liverpool could use the lad as a tempter in a big to sign Bellingham – Paul Robinson claimed there is no chance.

He told Football Insider: “No chance.

“Borussia Dortmund will not be interested in any other than a huge financial package. Look at the Jadon Sancho deal for example.

“Bellingham will have an eye on the Premier League, I’m sure. He will want to play in England.

“Liverpool look like the frontrunners. If they want to get the deal done they are going to have to cough up a huge sum.

“Yes, they can offer Dortmund players like Tyler Morton but I cannot see that having any impact on the finances of the deal.

“Dortmund’s business model is reliant on getting top fees for their young talent. It will be no different with Bellingham.”

Dortmund, know they have a special player – they know that they can get some serious money for the lad, and they know that his asking price will go up while he performs at this World Cup.

Liverpool will have to break the bank to get a deal done for Bellingham – but if that reported takeover goes through – we could be seeing some top-class signings in the coming windows.

But Bellingham must be top of the list – he is the ideal man to replace Jordan Henderson

Klopp would love trio –

Jurgen Klopp would love to sign Jude Bellingham – James Maddison and Declan Rice for Liverpool – pundit Paul Robinson has claimed.

Last season Liverpool were challenging until the very end for all the major trophies and were considered to be the best side in World Football.

But a couple of summer exits and a couple of summer arrivals that have not quite clicked yet – have seen the club drop off a couple of levels and they are struggling to pick up the wins.

That has led to suggestions that Klopp will look to revamp the squad and spend some serious money – with the midfield area an issue that needs to get dealt with as the German has a number of ageing players.

There are many names linked with a move – but if you believe the words of Robinson – Bellingham – Maddison and Rice are the three players that Klopp would love to try and sign.

Speaking to Football Insider – Robinson said: “Klopp’s budget has not been anything like Man City’s, Chelsea’s or Man United’s.

“Yet, Klopp has still managed to compete at the highest level.

“There is an argument that they have fallen behind this year because of a lack of investment. They are lacking massively in midfield.

“There is players Klopp would love to bring in. I’m sure he’d love to sign [Declan] Rice, [Jude] Bellingham and [James] Maddison to name a few. They are the type of players Liverpool would be looking at.

“Their budget does not allow that though.

“The wind of change is blowing at Anfield though. Regardless of who the new owners are, the next custodian of that club will be very well off.

“As a business proposition, it is very attractive.”

Klopp knows that a couple of top level signings will get his side back to where they belong – at the top playing great football and winning matches easily.

Rice – Bellingham and Maddison would cost around £230 million to acquire – but it would be sending a real statement from the Reds if they were able to bring them to Liverpool.

Rice claim made –

West Ham star Declan Rice would be the ideal January signing for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp in the January window – according to reporter Iomie Stanley.

Over the past few seasons Declan Rice has developed into one of the best players at the club – and one of the most impressive midfielders that the Premier League has to offer.

He really is the leader at the Hammers and a man that they are hoping to keep at the club for as long as they are possibly too – but that has not stopped speculation regarding his long-term future at the club

Liverpool fc are continuing to be linked with a move for the England International – and it is believed that Rice has already made up his mind about leaving the Hammers after rejecting the clubs massive contract offer

Jurgen Klopp is a man that needs to freshen up his squad in the January window and will be keeping a close eye on the performances of Rice – who just helped England smash Iran 6-2 in their opening game –

And if you believe the words of Iomie Stanley – he is the idea players for Klopp – he told icfootballnews: ‘ Is there a better holidng midfielder in the Premier League right now?

‘Rice has shown he has everything to be competing in the Champions League -competing against the big sides on a weekly basis and competing for all the big trophies.

‘No disrespect to West Ham – but they have a player that is ready for that next step – and Anfield would be a great move.

‘Klopp needs a player like Rice to take over from Jordan Henderson and Fabninho – who are right at the back-end of their top level playing days..

‘He may well cost over £100 million to acquire – especially if he has a great World Cup like many are expecting – but it would be a great move for him – Liverpool and West Ham – as he would not be joining their London rivals Chelsea.
