Europa League winner and Man United target asked about potential summer move!
Atalanta star Teun Koopmeiners has remained tight-lipped over his future amid links with Man United and Liverpool.
There are some big changes coming to the club over the next few months as constant rumours in the media are suggesting that Erik Ten Hag is in his finals few days as boss of the Red Devils.
But there is also alot of specculation that quite a few players will look to depart the club and a number of players will be brought in – and there have been some reports that Koopmeiners is a player that he would like to bring to Merseyside.
Although Manchester United improved their midfield last summer – the rumours that United could see a few midfielders depart the club means that they will need to sign some ready-made replacements – and Koopmeiners is on the list.
However – Speaking after the Italian side lifted the Europa League, the Dutchman was tight lipped on speculation – he said: “I’m only happy to enjoy this title with the fans, I’m focused on celebrating. Next season? I don’t know. We will see.”
And amid all the speculation – Kevin Strootman recently come out and backed his international team-mate to make a big move: “Koopmeiners and Zirkzee are doing very well,” Strootman told Radio TV Serie A, as transcribed by Tuttomercatoweb.
“Atalanta and Bologna are teams to be treated with great respect. I read that many top clubs would like them, they will also have their ambitions.
“They are players with extra quality and I hope they will also show it at the European Championship.
“I think after that they can choose wherever they want to go, I’m sure they are ready for a big leap.”
