Winger deal will send a buzz, United urged to sign Koulibaly, £200m transfer message sent and Van De Beek sent warning
Bale will send a buzz, United urged to sign Koulibaly, Van De Beek warned and United sent clear Mbappe message in Manchester United roundup…
Gareth Bale would bring a “buzz” to Manchester United if they managed to secure a transfer deal says Luke Chadwick.
Bale has been in the headlines alot over the past couple of days as it seems that he will finally get that move away from Madrid, with both Tottenham and United ready to bring him back to the Premier League.
It is believed that Madrid are so desperate to get Bale off the books that they have dropped his asking price to just £18 million and will even cover half of his £600,000-a-week wages at his next club.
And amid all the transfer speculation, Chadwick has claimed Bale would bring a “buzz” to Manchester United if they managed to secure a transfer deal in the coming weeks, The former United forward told CaughtOffside: “I’m sure lots of work has gone into the Sancho deal and things seem to be getting away from them at the moment.
“I think someone like Sancho adds a bit of X factor like in United teams of the past, so I think someone like him is essential.
“If it doesn’t happen, it will leave a bit of a hole and leaves a lack of time for the recruitment department to get someone of that quality into the club.”
“I think Bale would certainly give a buzz around the place.
“He’s obviously had a tough few years and not played the amount of football he would have hoped, but in terms of the sort of player he is, when you talk about Man United players of the past, he’s someone who would get the crowd excited, get fans off their seats.
“A wide player in the mould of Sancho, Bale, in my opinion would be a fantastic signing. One of those two, or someone in that position, needs to come in.”
Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright believes Manchester United must improve their defence by signing Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.
Koulibaly has firmly established himself as one of the very best centre-backs over in Italy over the past few seasons and his performances have led to rumours that he is coming to the Premier League
The 29-year-old defender has been linked with big-money moves to Manchester United for months now, but the Red Devils have been focusing on their attack before they start trying to add to that back-line.
And amid all the speculation that a move could be made, Gunners icon Wright has urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make a move and try to bring Koulibaly to the Premier League by the end of the transfer window.
He was quoted on TalkSport: “We saw with the one signing in [Bruno] Fernandes that it all changed for Manchester United.
“But for me in the defensive point of view they’re still very weak. We’re hearing City might get Koulibaly but they’ve [United] got to be going in there trying to do that, they’ve got to be trying to do that deal.
“Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a fantastic defender but [Victor] Lindelof and [Harry] Maguire and the left side [Luke Shaw] – those three are there for the taking.
“If you’re to challenge those teams [Liverpool & Manchester City] they’ve got to be a lot stronger. it’s not strong enough for me at the moment.
“They’ve got Fernandes, they’ve got Pogba. As much as Sancho, we’re seeing great things. Man United need to do what Liverpool did – address the problems and then go from there.”
Manchester United are unlikely to sign Kylian Mbappe next summer because the France superstar ‘dreams’ of playing for Real Madrid, the club have been told.
Mbappe is already regarded as one of the best players in the game, and is tipped to become a real legend of football in the coming seasons, as he is seen as the man that will replace greats Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
There are only a few clubs in world football that could attract him and Manchester United have been mentioned as a possible destination for the Frenchman if he does leave PSG, But French football expert Julien Laurens reveals Mbappe has always had his heart set on Madrid.
“At some point he will want to leave, for sure,” Laurens told ESPN. “Let’s remember, his contract ends in 2022, so that’s quite soon. PSG are hoping he’ll extend that deal but he hasn’t yet.
“I think then if he goes to Real Madrid, it would be his ultimate dream.
“That’s where he’s always wanted to play, that’s where he went as an 11-year-old because they invited him to train with their youth team. He was that good that they wanted to sign him then.
Ruud Gullit has sent a warning to Donny van de Beek after he made the move to the Premier League and Manchester United.
After helping Ajax become a top-level club once again, it was widely expected that Van de Beek would make the move to Real Madrid this summer as they reportedly had an agreement to sign the midfielder.
However, that move did not happen and United decided to swoop in and try to get the player signed, which they did, and for a bargain as he agreed to join the club for a £40 million fee.
But after seeing the Dutchman make that move to the premier League, legend Gullit has opened up and warned the little maestro ahead of his debut for the Red Devils, writing in De Telegraaf, he said: “I look forward to seeing Donny van de Beek at Manchester United.
“What immediately occurred to me is that he should be careful not to become a second Davy Klassen.
“Van de Beek is a younger copy of Davy in terms of play.
“Klaassen chose Everton, but the game of those two comes into its own most in an offensive squad, and therefore it should be easier for Donny at United than it was for Klaassen at Everton.”
It will be very interesting to see just how Van De Beek adapts to the quality of the premier League, but he has shown over the last few seasons that he has the ability to play at the highest level.
So he should do fine in the Premier League.
