Koulibaly ready to leave Napoli – Christensen agrees deal and Depay fires transfer message in Chelsea news of the day…

It has again been claimed that long-term Chelsea target Kalidou koulibaly is considering leaving Napoli in the summer

It is no secret that Thomas Tuchel could be losing a whole host of defenders at the end of the season as a number of stars are out of contract, meaning that the German will need to bring in a few more players

Antonio Rudiger is the man that Chelsea will need to replace when he departs the club at the end of the season after he failed to agree a new contract at the Bridge – despite months of talks

And Koulibaly is a name that many Chelsea fans are familiar with, as the club have been linked with a move for the powerhouse for the last few seasons and are still interested in getting a deal done

He is regarded as one of the top five defenders in the game right now and a player that is perfectly equipped to make a real impact in the Premier League

And according to Sky in Italy, Koulibaly is now open to the idea of leaving Napoli if the right offer comes in

The report adds that Napoli have still not given up hope of retaining the star and will try and persuade the defender to stay and commit his future to the club.

Look, Rudiger is leaving the club – that is a fact – so going out, spending £60 million and bringing Koulibaly to the club would be a very smart decision from the club

The man is great in the air, quick, powerful and can hold his own when it comes downs to playing out from the back.

So we would love to see Koulibaly at the club at the end of the season, he could be the idea man to replace the German star

Meanwhile, Andreas Christensen has reportedly agreed a five-year contract with Barcelona, with an announcement from Chelsea surely imminent

Chelsea are in the media for all sorts of reasons over the past few days, as Roman Abramovic has put the club up for sale after 19 years of winning trophies and turning the club into one of the very best in the game

But that has not stopped the speculation about the type of players that will be coming to Chelsea in the summer transfer window, and leaving the club either on free deals or being sold as the club may look to revamp.

Christensen is yet to agree a new deal with Chelsea, despite holding talks with the club for months and the defender admits he’s in a ‘difficult situation’ at Stamford Bridge, as he does not get the game time that he has desired.

With the Danish defender running his contract down towards free agency, it has been clamed in recent weeks that Barcelona have been very keen to get a transfer deal done for the talented defender.

Now, it has been claimed the Blues defender will receive five million a year at the Nou Camp, after agreeing to make the move to the club according to AS.

Christensen is a very gifted defender that could become a top-class one, so the news that he is all set to depart the club at the end of the season will come as a massive blow to the squad, but at the end of the day, he is still a player that can be replaced

Maybe it is the best time to leave Chelsea, but as we said, he is a player that can be replaced and if Thomas Tuchel is given the chance to sign a decent defender – he will not worry too much about the departure of the defender

And Finally, Memphis Depay has ruled out a move to the Premier League, amid the speculation that Chelsea are keen on a transfer deal.

Barcelona were in shambles after Lionel Messi left the club, as they were depended heavily on him for goals and as soon as the player left the club, there was a void and a lack of goals.

Dutchman Memphis Depay was brought in to fill in the space left behind by the Argentine but he was not consistent enough in front of the goal and injuries have also messed up his time with the club.

That has led to speculation in the media that Barcelona boss Xavi is now open to the idea of letting the attacker leave in the transfer window, and the Premier League is a place that he could come back too.

However, despite all the speculation suggesting that he could be leaving the club, The attacker has committed his future to Barcelona for several years when asked about his forthcoming plans.

Depay said, reported by The Mirror: “I came here at Barcelona with the desire to play for the team.

“And of course, I want to feel important here for several years.”

Depay was signed by the Spanish giansts who believed that he had the ability to score goals on a regular basis for the club – they were wrong. Man United signed in in belief that he would score goals for the club – they were wrong

So if Chelsea believe that the possible signing of Depay will help them score more goals and close the gap on both Liverpool and Man City – they are wrong

Depay is a player that does well in the French League or the Dutch League but when he makes that step up to the Premier League or Spanish League – he cannot cope

So the news that he intends to stay put will put a smile on many Chelsea fans faces that do not want him signed
