Chelsea announce giant deal is done – President will allow world class star to make Blues move – Tuchel wants Sterling
Chelsea confirms Bergstrom deal – Koulibaly green light given – Tuchel keen on Sterling in Chelsea news of the day…
Fabrizio Romano has opened up and claimed that Chelsea are very much interested in signing Man City star Raheem Sterling
Sterling is a player that has won countless trophies during his time with Man City – has scored 131 goals for the Premier League Champions and is easily one of the best players in the English game
However – as Pep Guardiola looks to shake things up for next season – there are a number of players that the Spaniard is willing to let leave this summer – and Sterling is one of them
That has led to constant speculation in the media that Chelsea may be looking to try and secure a deal for Sterling – as they seek to add some more goals to an attack that struggled last season.
Now – Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has opened up and claimed that Chelsea are exploring the idea of signing the attacker this transfer window – he said: “Raheem Sterling, for sure one of the names on Chelsea list with Thomas Tuchel big fan of the English winger. Chelsea have explored conditions of the deal.
“No direct talks between Man City and Chelsea or bid yet. Depends on other deals like Lukaku, Ousmane and more.”
Sterling brings pace – skill and goals to an attack – and that is what Chelsea are lacking right now
They have a number of exciting players at the club – but if they want to close the gap on Man City and Liverpool – then they need to start signing the best players when they come onto the market
So if they do manage to sign Sterling and do manage to get him back into the habit of scoring goals – then they will have a very fearsome player on their hands that other teams would get worried about
But there is a risk that his prime has passed him and that is why Man City want to sell – so it would be a risk for the Blues to complete this signing if that is the case
Bergstrom deal announced –
Chelsea goalkeeper Lucas Bergstrom has joined League One side Peterborough United on loan.
Standing at 6ft 7, the 19-year-old signed for Chelsea from Turun Palloseura in his native Finland during the 2018/19 season and has been a regular within the Academy squads at Stamford Bridge
The Finnish goalkeeper was part of Chelsea’s Premier League 25-man squad last season as the fourth choice shot-stopper at Stamford Bridge as the coaches were impressed with his performances
He is a man that Chelsea have big hope that he will eventually develop enough to challenge for the number one spot in the coming seasons – but they know sitting on the bench will not allow him to do that
And they made the very smart decision to let the big unit leave the club for the next 12 months in order to get some game time and play some minutes at a very good lower league side

And after seeing the deal get announced – Posh boss Grant McCann was pleased to secure his services and was thankful to the Premier League side for allowing the move to happen.
“Lucas is very highly-rated at Chelsea. He is commanding, a very good shot-stopper and extremely aggressive from crosses and good with his feet. I must give huge thanks to Carlo Cudicini and Chelsea for trusting us in developing Lucas further and we can’t wait to work with him,” McCann said.
Bergström will link-up with his new team-mates on the 22nd June when the Posh squad return for pre-season testing. There will be an interview with Bergström on his arrival at the idverde Training Ground.
The lad is massive and definitely has the potential to become a top-class stopper if he makes the right career choices
He may want to be at Chelsea right now – but this is a very smart move to make as he will get some much needed first-team minutes
Chelsea will be keeping a very close eye on his performances
Koulibaly boost –
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has admitted that he will not stop Kaliodu Koulibaly leaving the club – giving Chelsea the green light to complete a deal
It is no secret that Thomas Tuchel could be losing a whole host of defenders at the end of the season as a number of stars are out of contract, meaning that the German will need to bring in a few more players
And Koulibaly is a name that many Chelsea fans are familiar with, as the club have been linked with a move for the powerhouse for the last few seasons and are still interested in getting a deal done
The 30-year-old had another fantastic season in Naples, helping his team to third place in the Italian league’s premier tier. and last season Koulibaly appeared in 34 games for the Serie A team, scoring three goals and assisting on three occasions.

And according to the same reports – the powerhouse is very tempted by a move to Chelsea and the Premier League
Now – amid all the speculation – De Laurentiis has come out and admitted that he cannot stop Koulibaly from leaving the club this summer if he wants depart the club – he was quoted: “He is a symbol of Napoli, and if he wants to no longer be a symbol, he must decide.
“We must decide. We want Koulibaly to stay, but people can’t be forced to stay.
“Everyone has their own dignity and needs. We respect everyone.”
Koulibaly is a man that is made for the Premier League and this may be his chance to prove himself in the English game – so if the reports are true – he could be a great partner for Thiago Silva
The man is great in the air, quick, powerful and can hold his own when it comes downs to playing out from the back – so as we said – he could be a great signing for the Premier League
