La Liga star makes decision about Arsenal move – Arteta told he can sign star for £25m – Arsenal told target will move

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from today that we think you may have missed guys –

Brighton have reportedly told Arsenal the price they have to pay if they want to complete the signing of Leandro Trossard –

Mikel Arteta is easily regarded as one of the finest young managers in the Premier League and has been tipped to manage one of the big clubs – but no-one could have imagined the start he would have to this season.

But the Spaniard knows that he needs to add to his squad over the course of the transfer window – and has identified a number of players that he feels could improve the side

And that has led to constant speculation in the media that Trossard is a player that the Premier League giants are very much interested in signing.

Now, it looks like Arsenal have the green light to make a move for the Belgian – who is a player that many Premier League clubs are eyeing up.

talkSPORT are reporting that Brighton are prepared to grant Trossard his wish and let him leave in the January window, but only if an interested club stumps up £25millon.

The news comes after His agency has also revealed just a few days ago that Trossard does not intend to renew his Seagulls contract and will now look to leave Brighton.

A statement from Leandro Trossard’s agent Josy Comhair read:

“Before Leandro left for Qatar, it was Brighton’s intention to extend Leandro his contract , this did not happen as parties did not reach an agreement. Leandro has also indicated he is ready for his next step.

“After the WC there was an altercation at training between Leandro and another player over an inanity. Since then, the trainer has not spoken to Leandro, which is obviously not conducive to the atmosphere, as well as performance-wise.

“Leandro still was a first eleven player against Southampton and Arsenal but against Everton he was on the bench. In the 5 substitutions that took place then, he was also not among them and this without any explanation.

“In the run-up to the match against Middlesbrough for the FA cup, Leandro had already reported calf problems twice. This was the reason he stopped training. This was in consultation with the medical staff.

“Through the physical trainer Leandro learned that he had to train separately. Last Monday the trainer then grounded leandro in the group and indicated that he did not want to see him anymore. A trainer who has not communicated directly with his player for 4 weeks is truly incomprehensible.

“It is also the trainer who has indicated several times that a transfer is the most reasonable solution.

“It is therefore important that Brighton cooperate THIS mercato with a potential transfer , which is beneficial for both parties.”

Raphina decision –

Raphinha

Raphinha will not be sold on the cheap

Brazil superstar Raphinha has reportedly made a decision about making a move to Arsenal this January window.

The Gunners failed in their bid to sign the Brazil international from Leeds United last summer with Barcelona beating them to his signature. The 26-year-old has started just seven La Liga games this term and there are rumours that he could be sold.

The Spanish giants still under financial pressure and may need to get a few players off their books in order to help balance the sheets – and it has been claimed that he is a star they may be open to leaving.

But a rapid return to England sounds in likely with Mundo Deportivo reporting Raphinha has no interest in a move anywhere during this January window.

It comes after Gunners legend Paul Merson encouraged the club to make a move for the Brazilian star: ‘They will be very disappointed, of course they will,’ Merson told Sky Sports over Arsenal’s failure to sign Mykhailo Mudryk,.

‘They have been chasing him for a couple of weeks, it’s all been Arsenal talk, will they pay enough, will they go a little bit more. Then Chelsea have come from absolutely nowhere and blown Arsenal out of the water and that is what it is like.

‘Now they have got to regroup again. Surely they will have had a couple of other players in the pipeline, surely they haven’t put all their eggs into one basket. I think they might go for Raphinha at Barcelona. Barcelona have still got to settle their books.’

Raphinha may have not had the best time of it over at Barcelona – but he has proven himself in the Premier League so Arsenal know that they would be getting a man that could help them out for the remainder of the season.

So, it will come as a massive shame that he wants to stay put and sit on the bench every week

Thuram on the move –

Thuram

Arsenal target Marcus Thuram is “100% not going to extend” his current Borussia Monchengladbach contract, expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed.

Having started the new season in fine fashion – Mikel Arteta is eyeing up a number of possible targets that could make an impact on the side and add a bit more depth to the squad.

And Thuram is a player that the club can get for a reported £9 million. The 25-year-old has been making a real name for himself over in the Bundesliga – is a full French international and is a player that has the physical attributes to make an impact on the Premier League.

Now, if you believe the words of Romano – he will be leaving Borussia after deciding to not extend his current deal with the club – opening the door for Chelsea to try and seal a transfer move.

“Also in this case it depends on the conditions of the deal,” Romano told GMS.

“Thuram is available as a free agent in the summer because he’s 100% not going to extend the contract with Gladbach.

“So, many clubs are approaching him from Italy, like Inter to sign him as a free agent in the summer.”

Thuram has the ability to play all across that front-line – is a very powerful winger that would be a great signing for Arsenal , he is ready for that next step.

And for the money that Arsenal could sign him for – it would not be a massive risk to take from the Blues should they sign the Frenchman

Add that to the fact that he is a player that will not demand to play ever week – Thuram is certainly a player that Arteta would like to use on a regular basis and a player that the fans would enjoy watching.
