La Liga star told JOIN Arsenal – Gunners closing in on £43m signing – Arsenal chance to sign £100M ace
Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –
Stuart Pearce has told Nico Williams to snub a move to Chelsea this summer and make the switch to Arsenal.
The 21-year-old has banged in seven goals and grabbed 16 assists in 34 appearances for Athletic Bilbao this season across all fronts and is a player that is attracting some of the games biggest clubs.
It is no secret that Mikel Arteta is looking to add some more quality to his attack when the transfer window opens up and is keen to bolster his squad with another winger – to help cove injuries etc.
A report from Football Transfers claims ARSENAL want to add the Athletic Bilbao wideman to their ranks, but they will have to move fast because Chelsea are also said to be interested in bringing the talented winger to the Premier League over the next few months.
With his performances at Euro 2024, Williams is earning a lot of admiring glances at present, and Among those appreciating his talents is Stuart Pearce who has urged the Spaniard to join the Gunners instead of London rivals CHELSEA.
He explained to Footy Accumulators:
‘For Nico Williams, you’ve got to say that Arsenal will be a better destination for him than CHELSEA at this moment in time. However, it’s down to what the teams want to pay financially in their wage structure and maybe if he’s got one or two friends at individual clubs as well then they’ll talk him round.
‘Any players in Europe that are young and talented, they’re going to get suitors in the Premier League and often more than one club so it could also be personal preference. The more talented players we get coming to the Premier League the better and he would be one of them, we’ve got talented players from all over Europe and the world coming and plying their trade here which is excellent.

The lad is amazing and under the guidance of Mikel Arteta – he could develop into a class winger – he could potentially be a very exciting signing for ARSENAL -although he is one that the club do not need to sign right now because of the quality they have on the wings
ARSENAL GET ISAK BOOST –
Arsenal’s slim hopes of signing Alexander Isak look to have been reinvigorated following Newcastle’s latest transfer decision, writes football.london.
ARSENAL were so close to winning that Premier League title last season from Man City and honestly, they fully deserved to be Champions as they were probably the best side over the course of the campaign, but they just fell short.
However – it is widely expected that Mikel Arteta will add some new players to his side this transfer window and sign stars that will give them the edge over Man City for next season – with a striker on the agenda for the Spanish boss.
Alexander Isak has been linked with a move to Arsenal for months now – especially after his impressive 24-goal season last year – but it has been clear that Newcastle have no intention of letting one of the clubs best players leave this transfer window.
But according to The Telegraph, Eddie Howe’s side are pushing to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Everton with just one year remaining on his current deal at Goodison Park.
Agreeing a fee and Newcastle’s need to sell are two remaining stumbling blocks but Arsenal could help with both. Entering negotiations for Isak would give the Magpies more than enough funds to sign Calvert-Lewin and also solve their problem over who to sell.
The reports come after Dwight Yorke claimed Arsenal should now go all out and bring Isak to the Emirates – Speaking to Best Payout Online Slots, Yorke said: ‘It’s strange that Benjamin Sesko decided to stay at RB Leipzig and reject the likes of Arsenal. He’s getting to the age where he should have made a move to the Premier League, early into his career so he can have some experience of British football under his belt.
‘Arsenal need to go all out for Alexander Isak now, they need someone like him because they came up short in the striker position. Arsenal will need to invest around £100m for Isak because that will be how much Newcastle will value him at, I can’t imagine it being any less.
‘Kai Havertz was very useful to ARSENAL last season, but they need someone like Isak instead of him at the striker position. Arsenal need a signing of that magnitude, like how Erling Haaland came to Man City and was scoring goals for fun, I think Isak can do the same.
‘Luckily for Arsenal, it works because Isak already has two years of Premier League experience and will adapt like it’s nothing.
ARSENAL GET ISAK BOOST –
It has again been claimed that Arsenal are closing in on the summer signing of striker Viktor Gyokeres.
Gyokeres has scored 43 goals in 50 outings for Sporting and is one of the form attacking players in European football this term, with many reports in the media suggesting that he could be sold in the coming transfer window.
Europe’s elite are queueing up to prise the Sweden international away from Lisbon after his stunning start to life with Sporting, and ARSENAL are one of the clubs that are desperate to delve into that transfer kitty and add a 30 goals a season forward to that attack
Benjamin Sesko seemed to be the number one transfer target for Arsenal – but he has reportedly made the decision to snub a move away from RB Leipzig this transfer window and stay put for at least another Bundesliga season
According to Portuguese outlet Leonino, Arsenal are ‘very close’ to signing Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres., although ihis £87 million asking price has become a bit of a problem for the Gunners
The North Londoners would want to negotiate a lower fee in the region of £50m-£60m, but Sporting are unwilling to let the Sweden international leave on the cheap.

He may be good enough for that Portuguese League – but he could really struggle to make the impact that he would like in the Premier League – it is another level.
Arsenal need a striker that could give the club different options – give them a chance of adding some more goals in a weekly basis and we are just not sure that Gyokeres is the man for that.
There are plenty of options for ARSENAL in the Premier League and we are sure that there are a few strikers that fans would love to see arrive. So paying £85 million may be far too much for the Gunners this transfer window.
