Wow! Lampard announces this superstar could be heading to Chelsea this month

Frank Lampard has admitted a deal for Edinson Cavani could be on the agenda this month.

Lampard has see. His Chelsea side exceed all expectations this season so far, despite the fact he could not sign any players during the summer transfer window.

But with Chelsea now able to sign players this transfer window, there has been talk of a move for Cavani.

The 32-year-old Uruguayan’s contract expires at the end of the season but he has told the French champions he wants to leave this month, having made only four starts in Ligue 1 this term.

And Lampard has dropped a hint about a possible deal, Telling sky sports:”I think long term in January is very difficult so short term is something we would look at,”

“I think there are issues that are pressing for us to finish where we want to get to. Short term is something we are looking at.

“He’s (Cavani) a great player – I played against him and I always loved his mentality and his attitude. His goal-scoring record speaks for itself. I’m not absolutely aware of what the situation is, so we’ll see.

“He’s an experienced player but so are many other players out there! We are young as a squad so the idea of bringing in experience is not something I’m looking away from. Sometimes the younger players need a bit of help.”

Look, back In the day Cavani was k e of the best strikers in the game that would have been a real statement signing by the blues, but that is no longer the case.

Chelsea need to try and sign a striker that is more in his prime that can produce on a regular basis.

But it will be interesting to see if he does arrive at Chelsea this transfer window.
