Klopp told to bring proven Premier League defender to Liverpool

Tottenham, Aarons

Jurgen Klopp has been encouraged to make a move and try to sign Norwich defender Max Aarons for Liverpool in the coming transfer window

While the Reds endured one of their greatest seasons ever, winning the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, it ended in disappointment as they were pipped to the Premier League title by Manchester City and lost the Champions League final to Real Madrid.

Klopp knows that he will need to add a couple of signings to the squad in the transfer window in order to add a bit more depth – a bit more quality – especially as rivals Man City have already started improving

And one player that the club should try and sign is Aarons – according to former Liverpool star Jose Enrique – who claims he would be a brilliant challenge for Trent Alexander-Arnold

He told Genting Casino: ‘We definitely need a back-up for Trent Alexander-Arnold. Trent will start so we need a younger player to put Trent on his toes,’ the ex-left-back told Genting Casino.

‘Max Aarons from Norwich would be a good player to have. He’s not the quality of Trent but he’s a bit like [Kostas] Tsimikas with a similar style.

Despite the fact that Aarons could not help Norwich stay up this season – there are many out there that believe he is more than qualified to stay in the Premier League

He would not cost alot of money and has proven that he is able to compete with the very best that the Premier League has to offer.

If Liverpool do come calling – he would not turn down such a chance – and he wouldnt disappoint either
