PSG rumours? £43 million man Fabinho has transfer message for Liverpool fans
Fabinho insists he has no plans to leave Liverpool after being linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Brazil international has had a slow start at Anfield after he was signed in a £43.7 million deal from Monaco in the summer, as Jurgen Klopp looked to build a side capable of winning the premier League.
Fabinho has only started five games in all competitions this season, as he continues to struggle in England, and that has led to speculation that French giants PSG are looking to sign him in the January transfer window.
The French Champions have long been linked with a move for the midfielder and tried to nail down his signature during the summer transfer window before he officially signed for Liverpool.
But Fabinho insists he has ‘no reason to leave’ Liverpool and will look to get more games under his belt at Anfield.
‘He [Jurgen Klopp] did not give a lot of explanations, but in training I talked so I would not be discouraged and concentrate on work, without lowering my head, [I knew] the opportunities could come in,’ Fabinho told UOL.
‘In the last few matches I’ve played more and I believe that playing a good role.
‘Since football is very intense here, I have to be very well prepared when the opportunity arises.
‘I was told there was something in the press, but I never said I would like to leave Liverpool.
‘I was aware that I needed to have the patience to wait for my moment. ‘I’m happy at Liverpool, there’s no reason for me to leave.’
Can Fabinho get into the Liverpool line-up?
Fabinho was tipped to be a real hit under Klopp this season and it is strange to see that he is unable to break into the Liverpool side, as he has the qualities to be a big player for them.
But if he does fail between now and the end of the season to get the game time he wants, then maybe the best thing for him to do is pack his bags, as keeping the bench warn was not what he was signed for.
