Liverpool face battle to sign very impressive Premier League star in January

Liverpool will find it very difficult to sign Douglas Luiz in the January transfer window.

Luiz was heavily linked with a move to LIVERPOOL in the summer window – but despite all the speculation and despite all the rumours – the Reds were unable to convince Villa into letting him leave and he stayed put, and he is having a very good start to the new season.

However – rumours are back in the headlines that the Reds will make an offer for Luiz once again – in hope that he is interested in making the move to a Champions League club and a side that will challenge for trophies.

He has recently earned a recall to the Brazil squad and there has been alot of speculation that Liverpool will once again go back in during the January window and make a move for the star.

However – if you believe the words of reporter Iomie Stanley, then the likes of LIVERPOOL will find it very difficult to sign Luiz during the January window when Villa are playing really well.

He said: “With the way they’re going and the direction Unai Emery is taking the club, they’re European contenders again this season and stars want to play for the former Gunners boss.

“Luiz will be a brilliant signing and make an excellent addition to the Liverpool squad. But there are other of the pitch that Jurgen Klopp needs to add to first before trying to sign the Brazilian.

“Luiz is playing every week at Villa, he is enjoying his football and is certainly worth that £60 million valuation, but moving in January when he wants to help the club to claim a Champions League place, we cant see it happening.’
