Liverpool ‘feverishly’ trying to sign up star, Reds will pay £60M sign attacker, Mo Salah backs Liverpool signing of ace
Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today…
It as again been claimed that Liverpool fc still want to sign Omar Marmoush in the January transfer window, despite the reports suggesting that it will take £60 million to secure a transfer deal.
The forward has delivered 14 goals and 10 assists across all competitions, continuing from his previous season’s performance of 17 goals and six assists in 41 games and is drawing all sorts of attention from some of the biggest teams in the Premier League, including the likes of LIVERPOOL – who are always looking to add to their squad.
The Reds have one of the biggest squads in Europe – but with a number of players expected to leave in the coming windows – there will be some space for the likes of Marmoosh to come in and try to make an impact in that Arne Slots side.
What has happened?
According to German outlet SportBILD, Liverpool have been in touch with Marmoush’s advisors for a potential transfer and have “officially registered their interest” in the Egyptian.
Marmoush’s contract with Eintracht, which runs until 2027, does not include a release clause, giving the German club the upper hand in negotiations. This absence of a buyout clause suggests LIVERPOOL may have to pay as much as £60m for Marmoush’s transfer.
What has been said by Frankfurt.
Eintracht Frankfurt director of football Markus Krosche has opened the door to the potential sale of Omar Marmoush – recently Speaking to German media, Krosche said: “It is true that Omar made a very clear commitment to us in the summer. He has developed well and still has a lot of potential to develop further.
“For us, we don’t want to lose so many key players. I have to honestly say that no Eintracht player is unsellable but we want to keep the team together. I talk about Marmoush after every game. But that’s a good thing. Omar gives our game an incredible amount.”
Move to Happen?
Should Mohamed Salah decide against extending his contract, which ends next summer, Marmoush represents a versatile option with similar attacking attributes to his fellow Egyptian.
LIVERPOOL WORKING HARD ON ALEXANDER-ARNOLD DEAL
It has again been claimed that Liverpool are working feverishly to convince Trent Alexander-Arnold to stay at Anfield and agree a new contract with the club.
LIVERPOOL have been doing alot of business over the last couple of transfer windows adding players to the side that will help get the club challenging for titles once again, but they are also keen to keep hold of some of their biggest players.
Alexander-Arnold has been criticized for many of his defensive displays during his time at the club , but that doesnt hide the fact that he is still one of the very best players in his position.
The England star has been the subject of much speculation amid rumours of a new contract at Anfield and interest from Real Madrid, but it seems that the Reds have no desire to let the man leave in the next few transfer windows.
The Goal website has claimed that Alexander-Arnold is one of a number of players that Liverpool do not want to see leave the club and are feverishly trying to get him to sign a new contract.
However – amid all the speculation – LIVERPOOL have been encouraged to cash in on the star – When asked if the Merseyside club should consider selling Alexander-Arnold, Glen Johnson recently told Betfred: “Yes, absolutely. They’d have been having talks that we’re not aware of for sure because you can’t allow players to get so far into their contract when they’re so valuable.
‘It would be a complete head loss to let him go for free. Nobody wants to see him leave, but you may as well cash in because they know something’s going on already. I don’t know if Trent wants to leave or the club are happy for him to leave, but it would be stupid for Liverpool to not cash in if he is going to leave when his contract expires.”
He added: “You never want to lose your best players, but I don’t know if it would make much of a difference to LIVERPOOL if he leaves in January or at the end of the season if he was planning to leave the club.
‘It would have an impact overall because you never want to see your best players go and you don’t want to let them go.’
SALAH BACKS SIGNING
Mohamed Salah has reportedly backed Omar Marmoush’s arrival at LIVERPOOL , with his Egyptian compatriot tearing up the Bundesliga this season.
According to reports from BILD Salah personally made a case for Liverpool to sign his compatriot and that Arne Slot’s side will face no competition for his signature from Bayern Munich.
And Speaking on The Bayern Dossier, German football expert, Christian Falk, also stated that Liverpool are keen on signing Eintracht Frankfurt ace, Omar Marmoush, and the player would ‘fit’ into Slot’s system perfectly.
“Bayern have him on their list, they actually had him in their sights a little more for 2026, but the price could go up to €60m (£49.8m), Bayern don’t want to spend that much money on this player profile, they need a real striker up front.
‘For Marmoush they would have to change the system of play a bit. But he would fit in elsewhere, at Liverpool FC, for example. Mo Salah has made a strong case for him.
‘So, Marmoush and Liverpool are hot. Bayern are a bit cold at the moment.”
IcFootballnews View…
Look, LIVERPOOL are doing all they can to try and convince Salah to stay at Anfield, they will be offering the man all sorts of money in hope that he will agree a new contract at the club.
He will be very hard to replace and he will be missed. Marmoush is a very talented young attacker that is making all the right noises in the game, he is ready for that next step in his career and could be a solid signing for Liverpool
But the pressures of signing for Liverpool as the man that will replace Mo Salah, that could break the player and to be honest, it may be a move that he is unable to live upto.
There will be alot of players linked with a move to Liverpool over the next few months, and it will be interesting to see just who the Reds actually try and sign
