Liverpool can sign French World Cup winner if they pay his £300,000-a-week-plus wages

Reports from Spain have claimed that the likes of Liverpool can sign Antoine Griezmann this summer, if they can pay his massive wages

Griezmann joined Barca from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2019, having established himself as one of the world’s best forwards while winning the World Cup with France.

After firing at least 20 goals in each of the last six seasons, Griezmann scored just 15 times in 48 games in his first season for Barca, a disappointing haul given the €120m (£107m/$134m) fee required to bring him to the club, and he has not faired any better this season.

He has largely been played out of position since joining Barca, and because of that fact, he has not looked like the player that dominated over at Madrid for so many years and became one of the very best players in world football

Icfootballnews has learned that Griezmann is a player that Barca are open to selling this summer as they need to clear some of that massive debt that they have racked up over the years

The club’s short-term debt stands at €730m and they need to lighten their salary burden before entering the market, and although it is unclear just how much Griezmann gets at the club, his wages are reportedly upwards of £300,000-a-week

But reports claim that if the Reds are willing to meet his wages this summer, Barca are open to letting him leave, and he is open to moving to the Premier League

One of the best attacking players in world football and a man that has been linked with the Premier League alot over the past few seasons, yes he would be welcome at the Merseyside giants.

How could they turn down the opportunity to sign one of the best players in world football? Especially at a bargain price.

We would love him here in the Premier League.
