Liverpool interest in 33 goal star – Director sends £127M transfer message – £35M midfielder ‘will become world class’

Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news and gossip from us that we think you guys may have missed today –

Liverpool are very much interested in signing Crysencio Summerville this summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.

It is no secret that Liverpool, have been one of the biggest spenders in the transfer windows over the last few seasons, and it is also no secret that Arne Slot wants to add a bit more quality to the side.

As Leeds United failed to win promotion in the recent campaign, it caused a surge in rumours linking a number of their highly-rated players with moves away from Elland Road.

Summerville, who at 22-years-old produced 33 goal contributions in the second tier is a player that some of the big Premier League sides are very much interested in signing over the next few months of the window,

On that note, Fabrizio Romano has provided a fresh update regarding Summerville’s future with Liverpool and Chelsea mentioned as two clubs that are interested in getting a transfer deal done for the star.

LIVERPOOL and Chelsea have both been scouting Crysencio Summerville for months, but then in terms of negotiations, nothing has started yet,” he tells CaughtOffside.

“Talk of the Reds no longer being interested in the winger can’t be true as it is still early for this transfer. The appreciation from both clubs is still there, so we have to see if they decide to approach Leeds for Summerville at some point during the transfer window.”

For the right money – Summerville could be a solid addition to any side in the Premier League after the couple of seasons that he has just had – he might just be ready for a move to the Premier League.

But it all comes down to the price – if LIVERPOOL pay too much – he may not be able to handle the pressure and could end up being an expensive flop

WIRTZ MESSAGE SENT –

Bayer Leverkusen managing director Simon Rolfes has already dismissed speculation that Liverpool-linked Florian Wirtz will leave this summer.

It is no secret that Liverpool, have been one of the biggest spenders in the transfer windows over the last few seasons, and it is also no secret that Arne Slot wants to add a bit more quality to the side.

And that has led to reports that LIVERPOOL will once again delve into that transfer kitty in the summer window and try to add a few new players, with Wirtz a man that the club now want,

The 20-year-old forward is one of the rising stars of European football and reports that the Gunners hold a ‘strong interest’ in the Germany international. It is said that Wirtz is on the club’s ‘radar’.

The Leverkusen midfielder had a stellar season in the club’s unbeaten domestic campaign, scoring 18 goals and registering 20 assists on the way to the Bundesliga and German Cup trophies.

However – Rolfes has already dismissed speculation that Wirtz could leave this summer: “He will stay. His father and agent said it before. He has a contract here and he’s really happy,” he said speaking to Sky Sports.

“This is the right place for him to develop as a player and person. His future is bright that’s for sure.

“He is such a good player and shows a great will to win and to work. It’s not normally the attributes of a number 10 but he combines talent with the work rate of a six or a defensive player along with producing special magic moments.”

However – it is believed that a few of £127 million would be enough to convince the Germans to part ways wit their talented midfielder –

GRAVENBERCH WILL BECOME WORLD CLASS –

Former Real Madrid star Rafael van der Vaart believes Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has the potential to become world-class.

The 22-year-old made the move to Anfield from Bayern Munich last summer in a deal worth roughly £35m but endured a mixed first season with the Reds as he failed to establish himself as a first-choice midfielder for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

However – there were glimpses that the midfielder would be a great signing for Liverpool when he actually gets used to the pace and quality of the Premier League – and he is expected to be a big player for Arne Slot.

And now Van der Vaart believes Gravenberch has the potential to become one of the best in the world in his position having already played for three of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Speaking to Sportskeeda, he said: “If Bayern and LIVERPOOL want you, then you just go. He really has the potential to be world-class.

“If you go from Ajax to Bayern and Liverpool, and you don’t play much, then it is better to choose a club where you know you will just make a lot of minutes. And he has not done that.”

“But, in the matches he has played, you can see that he is really a (quality) midfielder. I think he is so good. His potential is incredible.”

Gravenberch is a very good player that will have a better season than last time around as he will be more used to being in LIVERPOOL– in the Premier League.

With all the players that could come into the side – he needs to step up and show Slot why Jurgen Klopp was so keen to bring him to the English game last season.
