Eden Hazard plan! Jurgen Klopp sends Liverpool message to Chelsea’s main man

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has warned his players that they need to starve Eden Hazard of possession in order of stopping the Chelsea man wrecking their Premier League title chase.

Maurizio Sarri’s side head to Anfield on Sunday hoping to derail Liverpool’s bid to win the league title for the first time since 1990 and Hazard will be central to Chelsea’s hopes of pulling off an unlikely victory, as the Belgian has looked in imperious form for the Blues over the course of the season, despite all the transfer rumours that he is leaving.

Klopp knows that he needs three points to keep up with City as the Manchester club very rarely lose a game and if Liverpool can keep the pressure on Pep Guardiola’s side with a big victory over Chelsea, then maybe the reigning Champions will slip up.

‘We will take 13 players this time, and two will play only against Eden!’ Klopped joked on the Sky Sports website

‘We have to make sure he can’t shine. Stop passes to him, react better than other teams did.

‘When he has the ball, already too late. Read the game, read the passes. In a one vs one you can’t defend him. ‘On his day, he can be the world’s best immediately. He had a brilliant career so far, and it’s not over yet.

‘I like his joy, cheeky as well, strong, quick, he’s a good player! But all good players have to play against us, and we have to try everything.’

Stopping Hazard is easier said then done, especially as he has started scoring goals for Chelsea once again. But Liverpool have looked outstanding throughout the season and Klopp knows that his players will be up for this more than any other match this season, especially as anything but a win could cost the club a title.

It should be a wonderful match between the two sides, as there are a lot of world class players on show, Chelsea have a great attack but a weak back-line.

Liverpool have a world class defence and attack, but a weaker midfield, and considering the big games all get won in the midfield area, it should be an intriguing counter between Sarri and Klopp.

If Liverpool win this game, City will have to react, as they cannot afford to drop points either.
