£51M star backed for big move as Slot interested in Liverpool signing!
Atalanta star Teun Koopmeiners has been backed for a big move with rumours that Liverpool are keen on a transfer deal.
There are some big changes coming to the club over the next few months after the decision was made by Jurgen Klopp that he would be departing the club at the end of the season.
His decision has meant that Feyenoord boss Arne Slot will be coming to Anfield when his time at the Dutch side is up – and there have been some reports that Koopmeiners is a player that he would like to bring to Merseyside.
Although LIVERPOOL improved their midfield last summer – the news that Thiago is departing the club when his contract is up will mean that the Reds will need to sign a ready-made replacement for the Spanish star.
And amid all the speculation – Kevin Strootman has come out and backed his international team-mate to make a big move: “Koopmeiners and Zirkzee are doing very well,” Strootman told Radio TV Serie A, as transcribed by Tuttomercatoweb.
“Atalanta and Bologna are teams to be treated with great respect. I read that many top clubs would like them, they will also have their ambitions.
“They are players with extra quality and I hope they will also show it at the European Championship.
“I think after that they can choose wherever they want to go, I’m sure they are ready for a big leap.”

The Premier League is a much harder league than Seria A and stars like Koopmeiners may struggle in.
The board need to back Slot in the transfer window and make sure that quality is signed – not quantity.
