Klopp has been told to snap up £600,000-a-week superstar for Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp has been encouraged to hand Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski a move to Liverpool this summer
Lewandowski has hit the headlines this month after revealing that he does not want to stay at Bayern Munich any longer and wants to test himself outside of the Bundesliga.
That has led to so much speculation about his long-term future – but with Liverpool also looking to sign a new striker in the coming window – there has been some rumours that they may be interested in a short-term deal.
And ex-star David James is prepared to admit that any chance to acquire a two-time FIFA Best Award winner – would be difficult to pass up for Liverpool and they should offer him a move to Anfield
Quizzed on whether Lewandowski would be a shrewd addition to Liverpool’s star-studded ranks, James told GOAL: “This guy is incredible. His goal spread in regards to home and away is nearly equal. He doesn’t mind where he is, he will score goals.
“The thing with Haaland is that only five games has he scored one goal, the rest of the time he has scored two or three. He is like buses, they come in multiples, whereas Lewandowski doesn’t care – he will score more than half as single goals in games.
“Lewandowski, with this guy, he just scores. He doesn’t need to score three, he will always get one. You know you are going to concede. It’s the mindset of the opposition.
“Lewandowski for a season? I would buy him. He might cost a few quid, but for a season it might be worth the expense. For however many years now he guarantees goals. If it was that easy at Bayern, then everyone else would be scoring 40 goals.”

We are sure that Lewandowski would love to make that move to Liverpool – he would be a brilliant signing
But can we see the Reds giving him £600,000-a-week at this stage of his career? they are surely far too smart for that

The French superstar is undoubtedly football’s hottest property, as he is still just 23-years-old and arguably the best player in the world at present, so it is easy to see why Madrid are so keen
But we believe that if Liverpool really wanted him – then they would offer him the kind of money he wants.
