Klopp wants trophy-laden German star – ‘will suit Liverpool well’
LIVERPOOL are linked with a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich, according to a new report.
Jurgen Klopp needed to freshen up during the summer window, needed to sign players that would get the side competing at a high level and for that Premier League title, and they have managed that.
But Klopp knows that he needs to keep on adding to the squad in order to get back to that level of Man City, and now Arsenal, and Kimmich is reportedly a player that they would like to sign
Christian Falk of Bild Sport claims that Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the versatile midfielder, who has less than two years remaining on his current deal with the German champions.
Writing in his Caught Offside column, Falk said: ‘Barcelona is very interested in Kimmich. If he comes onto the market next summer, some clubs in the Premier League will also look at him. Pep Guardiola is considered a big fan of Kimmich after having initially discovered and promoted him in Munich.
‘The City coach appreciates Kimmich’s versatility as he can play in many positions. But Jürgen Klopp also knows Kimmich’s strengths, which would suit LIVERPOOL FC well. The poker for Kimmich could soon be open.”

Kimmich is a world class player that has won countless trophies – he really is a player that could thrive in that system at Anfield if he is managed to get signed.
However – we feel that he does not want to leave Bayern and they seemingly have no desire to let him leave, so he will probably agree a new contract and stay exactly where he is, and where he wants to be.
