Concrete offer confirmed, Liverpool urged to sign Spurs star, Man United told De Ligt over Maguire, (Video) 31-goal hitman to United?, Klopp makes Sancho claim

Here is a roundup of the latest Manchester United and Liverpool news from icfootballnews.

Ajax have received a ‘concrete offer’ for rumoured long-tern Arsenal and Manchester United target David Neres, says director of football Marc Overmars.

With Arsenal seeking to get back inside the Champions League next season, Gunners boss Unai Emery has been eyeing up a number of possible deals for players that will improve the side, with a winger high up on the shopping list.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to get United back challenging for titles again next season and there has been a lot of speculation in the media that he wants another winger to come in and possible replace the departing Alexis Sanchez, who has been linked with a move away from the club.

And according to recent reports, both sides have reportedly been interested in the Brazilian for quite some time with the winger demonstrating his scoring abilities against Real Madrid and Juventus this season.

The talented 22-year old Neres has netted an impressive 19 assists in all competitions for the Ajax this season, as they sought to reach a Champions League finals against Liverpool, and Overmars told Dutch media a bid from an unnamed club has come in for the Brazilian.

Overmars was quoted on the Daily Express: “Next week we are going to the table [for discussions] with his guidance.

“For David, one club’s interest is concrete, with an offer. We will then talk about that, but it is the intention that we as Ajax are leading [the discussions].

“He was able to leave for China last winter, but we didn’t let him go. Look how it worked out for Ajax, but also for him; he is now an international with Brazil.”

Dean Saunders has urged Liverpool to make a move to sign Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen this summer window.

Eriksen has become a vital part of Mauricio Pochettino’s side over the past few seasons and is one of the creative reasons why they score so many goals throughout the course of the season, but there has been speculation that he could leave the club.

It is believed that the Danish star has refused three contract offers from Spurs over the past few months, with the latest reportedly close to the £110,000-a-week mark, with the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea, United, Liverpool and Barcelona all keeping a close eye.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was ready to swoop in and offer him a summer move to Anfield, as the German boss seeks to add a long-term replacement to the aging Jordan Henderson, who has become a bit-part player at the club this season.

And Saunders says the Reds should enter the mix to sign the wantaway midfielder, telling the TalkSport website: “[They could] spend it maybe… I think Eriksen could slot into Liverpool’s team; somebody like Eriksen.

“That type of player who will make their midfield a bit more productive.”

There have been some reports which have claimed Manchester United have made a move to sign Pierre Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal, but they would be mad to get this deal done

Manchester United should have tried to beat Juventus to the signing of Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt, rather than chase the £80million signature of Harry Maguire claims Alan Brazil.

Maguire has reportedly become the top transfer target for United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this summer as he seeks to improve his back-line and get the club back inside the top four.

There have been many reports in the media which have claimed that the England International will cost the Red Devils a massive £80 million to sign this summer, which have left many in the media claiming that Maguire is worth nothing near that kind of money.

But United had the opportunity to sign De Ligt from Juventus in a deal that could have cost just £67 million, which has been seen as a real bargain by the Italian giants.

And speaking on TalkSport, former Man United striker Brazil said: “Manchester United, could they not have gone in there with £68m?

“This is nothing to do with Harry Maguire – I like him as a player – but they are talking about £80m for Harry who is 26 and De Ligt is 20 next month but he goes for just £67.5m…”

Jurgen Klopp has described Manchester United and Chelsea target Jadon Sancho as ‘one of the biggest talents in world football’ after watching the Borussia Dortmund winger in the flesh.

Sancho is now considered to be one of the most exciting talents in world football after a stunning season with Borussia Dortmund, in which the Englishman has netted nine goals, with the winger being involved in 22 goals for Dortmund this season.

Chelsea have been linked with a possible move for the winger as they sought a long-term solution to Eden Hazard, who left the club and signed for Real Madrid in a deal worth around £130 million.

United are also keen on a deal for the young man as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seeks to improve his squad and add some more creativity to the side.

who is heavily tipped to pack his bags and leave for Real Madrid in a deal worth around £100 million as the Spanish giants plan a massive summer overhaul.

But after seeing the young man in action, Klopp was not talking about transfer rumours about the young man, it was just pure admiration.

“An exceptional talent,” Klopp said on the TalkSport website “But he’s not the only one in England at the moment.

“That age group has a few, we have Rhian Brewster who is the same age, Raheem Sterling for example I don’t want to forget any wingers because there are a lot of talents.

“There’s a lot of very young, promising players in England so there’s no doubt about the potential of Jadon Sancho.

“His speed and body control in high speed is his main strength. Being good in big spaces and in small spaces makes you a pretty interesting player and that’s what Jadon is for sure.”
