Allegri message, Dacoure Boost, Emery told to sell Ozil, Pulisic deal, Pirlo-Ramsey message in Liverpool, Man United Saturday news

Here is the daily roundup of Manchester United and Liverpool news, gossip and transfer speculation.

Former Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo has called claimed Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey would be a good signing for Juventus.

Ramsey is out of contract at the Emirates at the end of the season after spending more than a decade at the club, but with the Gunners un-prepared to offer the Welshman the contract he wants, no deal could be agreed.

It is believed Ramsey demanded the same kind of wages as Mesut Ozil, believed to be around £300,000-a-week, but the Gunners were only ready to go as high as £220,000-a-week.

That has led to speculation that Manchester United could be interested in taking him to Old Trafford at the end of the season, but with Jose Mourinho no longer in charge, their interested in Ramsey has faded.

And that opened the door for Juventus to show an interest, with recent reports claiming the Italian Champions have been working on a deal to sign the Wales international in the January window.

Now they have been urged to make a move for Ramsey, as Pirlo claims he would be a fantastic buy for the Champions.

“He is a talented player,” Pirlo told Sky in Italy.

“He is a complete player who can do pretty much everything. And he scores a lot.

“Ramsey is a great purchase.”

Juventus coach Max Allegri has responded to speculation that he wants to manage Manchester United next season.

After a dismal start to the new season, in which United had their worst points return in 28-year, Jose Mourinho was let go after months of speculation.

The special one was not enjoying being boss of United any longer and was taking away the identity, excitement and fun away from being associated with the club, with many fans and players losing belief they could get back to the very top of the game.

That has led to speculation on whom would be made permanent manager in the summer, with the likes of Allegri, MauriCio Pochettino, Zinedine Zidane and Laurent Blanc linked.

But Alegri has seemingly told United that he is not interested in the job, by announcing that he is happy in Turin.

‘I still have a year and a half on my contract,’ he said on the Metro website.

‘I’m fine here and we’re doing important things.

‘Now we are in December and it’s better to wait. From here to June there are many games.’

Watford boss Javi Gracia admits he was not shocked to hear the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool are interested in signing Adboulaye Doucoure.

Dacoure has once again shown his quality in the early stages of the Premier League season, and attracted interested from some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

United, Liverpool and PSG are reportedly keen to push through a deal for the 25-year old during the January window, with all three ready to splash the £40 million Watford are seeking.

And Gracia has given a boost to all three chasing clubs by admitting he does not know if Dacoure will leave in the coming transfer window.

He said on the Sky Sports website: “Last season every week we were talking about Liverpool or Everton, all the clubs that were interested in him.

“We can speak about it again. For me Doucoure is a great player, a very important player for us.

I do not know what will happen.

“It doesn’t surprise me other clubs want to sign him because he is a very good player.”

Liverpool are set to sign Christian Pulisic ahead of Chelsea after the American reportedly decided he wanted to join Jurgen Klopps side.

With the January transfer window just a few months away and speculation increasing about whom Liverpool could bring in to help improve their chances of winning the Premier League title, Pulisic has become a top transfer target.

Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp had been chasing Pulisic for several seasons, as he looks to continue building a title winning side, and reports suggested he was open to the idea of working with the former Borussia Dortmund boss at Anfield.

However, recent reports claimed that it was Chelsea who were set to win the race for the lads signature as they saw him as the idea replacement for Eden Hazard, who is keen to leave the club and make a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid.

But according to reports on the Sun website, it is Liverpool who will be signing the young man in a deal worth around £70 million, after Pulisic decided against extending his stay at Dortmund.

Paul Merson has claimed Arsenal must sell Manchester United target Mesut Ozil as the German is stopping world class players from signing.

The German is by far the highest paid player at the Emirates after agreeing a deal last season in excess of £300,000-a-week, which many believe is far too much for the midfielder considering he has not put in enough good performances to earn such a big wage.

That has led to alot os speculation that Arsenal may look to offload the German in the coming windows, as he does not fit the playing style of Unai Emery and getting his wages off the books would free up enough money to land two world class players.

And with United keeping a close eye on his situation at the Emirates, Merson has told his former club that they need to get rid of Ozil in order of landing a couple of big named players.

Merson said on the Daily Express website: “Arsenal have got to get rid of Mesut Ozil.

“They need his wages off the books because he is giving them nothing at the moment.

“He is also a problem because while he’s there it’s going to stop Arsenal signing any really world-class players.

“Any big-name £80-90m star is going to want to be the highest-paid player at the club, but that can’t happen with Ozil on that much money. Arsenal can’t afford it.”
