Jurgen Klopp told to bring £150 million duo to Liverpool –
Frank McAvennie has told Liverpool to sign Jude Bellingham and Cody Gakpo in the coming transfer windows.
Jurgen Klopp has seen his Liverpool side make a stuttering start to the new season and they are already off the pace of Arsenal and Manchester City for that Premier League title.
That has led to speculation that Klopp will want to get backed in the coming transfer windows and sign some players that will freshen up the side and add something different to the squad.
Bellingham is rated as one of the best young midfielders in the game and is worth over £100 million because of his performances for Borussia Dortmund over the past few months.
Cody Gakpo is a lad that is also making a big name for himself over at PSV with 13 goals and 17 assists already this season – and his valuation is around the £40 million mark.
Now – Journalist Frank McVennie has opened up and encouraged the Reds to delve into that transfer kitty and bring both players to Anfield – McAvennie told Football Insider: “Liverpool might try and get the two of them.
“Bellingham will be their number one and then they will be looking at who they can get if they do not get him.
“He [Gakpo] has not really played out his skin. He has scored three goals. When Bellingham plays he pulls the team along, you can tell that he shines every game. Gakpo is just scoring goals.
“There is nothing wrong with that but I do not think he has the same influence as Bellingham. He is only 19, he has got a presence about him. He is going to be a great wherever he goes.
“I have watched quite a bit of the Netherlands and Gakpo does not dictate the game.“
