Liverpool news: £54M Frenchman announces if he is moving this summer

LIVERPOOL target Jules Kounde has addressed rumours that he is keen to leave Barcelona this summer.

Kounde is a player that Liverpool have been linked with ever since his days with Sevilla – but have never been able to convince the Frenchman that a move to the Premier League is one he needs to make.

However – Kounde’s future in Spain now looks uncertain however with Sport reporting he is unhappy with his role at Barcelona and is considering a move away this summer.

The defender has started 26 of Barcelona’s 35 league matches this term, the majority of those playing at right-back.

Kounde believes he was promised more game time in his preferred role at centre-half where Ronald Araújo and Andreas Christensen have been the manager’s preferred first-choice paring.

But despite all the speculation and the rumours – Kounde has now come out and admitted that he does not want to leave the Spanish giants.

“To be 100% clear, I’ve never asked to leave Barcelona and I’m not gonna leave the club,” he was quoted on the Daily Mirror

“I’m not going anywhere.”

LIVERPOOL have a number of world class defenders at the club and they shouldnt really need to improve that area of the pitch.

But Kounde is a man that they have wanted for some time and is a player that could be one of the best – he would be a brilliant signing.

We are not shocked to see that he wants to stay at the club – he wants to become a legend at the Camp Nou
