Liverpool ‘offered chance’ to sign Arsenal’s unwanted defender to solve Klopp problems
Reports have claimed that Arsenal have offered Liverpool the chance to try and sign Sokratis this transfer window.
Now we all know that Jurgen Klopp has seen his side get plagued by injuries this season, which has cost the club some vital points, and there is alot of speculation in the media that he is eyeing up a short-term solution to his problems at the back.
And reports on the TalkSport website have claimed that Klopp has now been offered the chance to take Sokratis from the Emirates, as he is no longer needed by current boss Mikel Arteta.
The Greece international was not registered in Arteta’s Premier League squad for the first half of the 2020/21 season, leaving him stuck on the sidelines like fellow outcast Mesut Ozil, aad speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed the experienced defender is being considered as a potential option by club hierarchy.
“He was offered to Liverpool too, you know that? Liverpool were looking for an opportunity and he was offered to Liverpool, but at the moment he’s not an option,” Romano explained.
“Because of his relationship with Jurgen Klopp?” Romano’s co-host then asked.
“Yes, also he could be an opportunity, he was an opportunity because he was offered, but at the moment Liverpool have not decided whether they’re signing a centre-back or not, they’re still in the middle of the situation, so nothing has been decided.”
Is this is true, it is crazy to think that he would make the move to Anfield and join the best side in the Premier League
