Liverpool ‘seriously interested’ in bringing 13-goal star to Anfield

A speculative report from Anfield Watch claims LIVERPOOL are lining up Victor Osimhen to replace Darwin Nunez, who has been linked with a stunning move away from the Merseysiders in recent weeks.

Nunez has blown hot and cold since his move to LIVERPOOL, and is constantly criticised for wasting a host of chances and finding himself out of the starting XI for significant spells.

It is no secret that Arne Slot is not 100 per cent sure that Nunez is the man that will lead that Liverpool attack in the long run, there has been some rumours that Liverpool are lining up possible alternatives, meaning that there may be a chance to sign Nunez in the coming windows.

And with reports that Arsenal are still keen to add another striker to the attack, there has been some stunning reports that the Gunners could make a move for a player that they were interested in before he made the move to Liverpool

The report moots the Liverpool hierarchy are admirers of Osimhen, who is on loan at Galatasaray after a develeoping a rift with parent club Napoli. He is expected to leave the Italian club this summer.

Osimhen – contracted to Napoli until 2026 – has scored 13 times in 16 matches since his switch to Turkey. Two of those came against Tottenham in the Europa League in November.

The coach of the Turkish team, Okan Buruk, recently reaffirmed in a recent interview that both the player and the club are aligned in this objective: “He is happy here and wants to stay with us until the end of the season,” the coach stressed

Osimhen has been a key player in Galatasaray’s season, leading the Turkish league and his performance has been key for the team to remain as leader of the championship.

Look, As we have said before, it makes sense for Osimhen to stay put until the end of the season, a permanent transfer deal would be complicated in the January window and the Nigerian will have more offers at the end of the year.
