Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed –

Liverpool could be set for a bidding war over Juventus star Federico Chiesa ahead of the January transfer window.

Chiesa is a transfer target for LIVERPOOL, Arsenal and Man United, according to Calciomercato. As the winger is “very ambitious” about a move to the Prem and believes top-flight English football will enrich his career.

United have suffered immensely in the flanks this term with Antony underwhelming and Jadon Sancho frozen out. Meanwhile, the North Londoners have heavily depended on Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in their wings.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for the attacker in recent windows as there is alot of speculation in the media suggesting that Mohammed Salah will be leaving the club at the end of the season

The Italy international could assist Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp  to add more quality into his side and allow him to rotate with players, but also give him different options in that attack when things are not working.

IcFootballnews Opinion –

Klopp has one of the most exciting attacks in the Premier League, but one or two injuries to the side and there could be some real issues that could scupper their chances of winning the Premier League title.

Chiesa is proven at the highest level of the game, has the ability to play in a number of positions, is a man that is made for the big games, and if he wants to come to the Premier League, LIVERPOOL could be the ideal move to make.

The only problem with his potential arrival is that he is a starter, he will want to play every week, play every minute of every match and will not want to be backup.

Add that to his massive asking price, his big wages and the fact that Liverpool are keen to improve other areas of the pitch – we cant see this move happening in the January window unless Klopp really needs Chiesa signed.

KONATE ADMISSION –

Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté has admitted that he can imagine himself one day playing for Paris Saint-Germain.

Since making the move to LIVERPOOL a few seasons ago – Konate has really become a massive part of that Jurgen Klopp defender, and a player that the German boss can really rely on.

There has been no talk about him leaving in the coming windows, as Klopp does not want him to leave and the defender looked like he had no desire to play for anyone else at this stage of his career.

However – Asked by Canal Plus whether he’s ever imagined himself playing for PSG and replied, “If I said no, I’d be lying, but if you’re asking, is it one of my objectives? Not at all.”

He added: “PSG has made sure to recruit players who understand each other well and who play with each other for the France national team. Even for the people and the Parisian fans, it makes them happy.

‘It’s what they’ve been waiting for for years, having Parisian players or at least French players in the team.”

IcFootballnews Opinion –

Konate is a quality defender and a big reason why Liverpool are so good at the back – so unless a crazy offer arrives from PSG in the next couple of windows or he forces a move away, we cant see this happening.

And to be honest, making the move to the French League would be a massive step down for the defender, the Premier League is the best in world football and LIVERPOOL are one of the greatest sides in the game.

ANDRE UPDATE –

Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano has given Liverpool fans an update on the potential signing of Brazilian star Andre

LIVERPOOL were one of three Premier League clubs that sent scouts to admire Andre Trindade’s performance in Saturday’s Copa Libertadores final, ad Jurgen Klopp is looking to add some quality to his midfield.

A defensive midfielder is seen as the last piece of the puzzle to complete Jurgen Klopp’s rebuild of his engine room, and Andre is reportedly the man that Liverpool are very keen to sign in the January window.

Recent rumours of a ‘verbal agreement’ between Andre and his superiors at Fluminense to join Liverpool have circulated, although Fabrizio Romano has not backed up such claims.

Instead, in his latest CaughtOffside column the reporter explained the Reds’ major admiration for the player whose future will be decided soon.

He wrote: ‘Andre continues to impress at Fluminense as one of the most talented young players in Brazil, and we’ve heard a lot of rumours about LIVERPOOL, Arsenal and other clubs. Liverpool had a busy summer rebuilding their midfield and there’s been speculation that they could still look to make more signings in that position in January.

“Liverpool keep tracking and following Andre, that’s for sure, he’s always been appreciated by people at the club including Jurgen Klopp. Still, until now, there is no update as the Copa Libertadores final is crucial for Andre and he didn’t want any distractions. This will be something to watch for the next months.”

Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt has previously spoke of contact with Liverpool, when he told them: “My friend, I don’t sell a player now and I don’t deliver now. If you want to buy now to take in January, we can start talking, or if you want to wait until December and we talk in December.”
