Is Rice leaving Hammers?

Former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie has told West Ham star Declan Rice to sign for Liverpool

Over the past few seasons Declan Rice has developed into one of the best players at the club – and one of the most impressive midfielders that the Premier League has to offer.

He really is the leader at the Hammers and a man that they are hoping to keep at the club for as long as they are possibly too – but that has not stopped speculation regarding his long-term future at the club

Liverpool fc are continuing to be linked with a move for the England International – and it is believed that Rice has already made up his mind about leaving the Hammers after rejecting the clubs massive contract offer

Jurgen Klopp is a man that needs to freshen up his squad in the January window and will be keeping a close eye on the performances of Rice

Now – amid the speculation – Rice has been told to snub a move to Man City and join Liverpool instead: “It would be Liverpool, wouldn’t it?” McAvennie told Football Insider

“You look at their midfield, there are places up for grabs. Declan could go in there and make it his own, he could run that team for years and years.

“I don’t see him doing that at Man City. Pep rotates so much that I’m not sure you could guarantee him the game time and that’s what will be his major concern when he does leave the club.

“It’s an older midfield as well, they won’t be there much longer. Declan is still a young guy and he has his best years ahead of him, which is actually a bit of a scary thought.

“That’s just how I see it, if I was him I’d go to Anfield. I think it would be perfect.

“I don’t see it working at Man City.”
