£60 million defender wanted – Chelsea is where unit wants to be!
Liverpool retain an interest in Chelsea defender Levi Colwill and could still make a move for the defender.
After being sent out on loan to Brighton last summer, nobody could have imagined the impact that Colwill had at the seagals last season, helping the club get into Europe.
He returned to CHELSEA at the beginning of the summer, and has impressed boss Mauricio Pochettino, who has used the young man on a regular basis this season in that back-line.
There had been some speculation that he could leave the club, but that is all put to bed after he agreed a new contract earlier in the season and pretty much ended the rumours of a possible move away.
Liverpool wanted to prise Colwill away from Stamford Bridge last summer before the England international signed a new long-term contract.
Chelsea’s willingness to sell Tottenham target Conor Gallagher to help stay on the right side of Premier League Profitability and Sustainability rules means they could also be vulnerable to offers for fellow academy graduate Colwill.
talkSPORT understands Colwill was open to a move away from west London before being convinced by Mauricio Pochettino he would be a first-team regular, and has no intention of leaving the club.
The centre-back has spent most of the season playing out of position at left-back while Ben Chilwell has been out injured.

Look, Levi Colwill is a player that has the potential to develop into one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League and is a player that is definitely the future of CHELSEA.
The only way that Liverpool will get the player is if they make a massive offer that Chelsea cannot turn down – but anything is possible in football and the defender may decide that he wants to make the move to Anfield at some point in the future.
