Arsenal told to sell duo, Saka to be at Arsenal a long time and Gunners get Vlahovic boost in Arsenal roundup…

Kevin Campbell thinks Arsenal should get rid of Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Gunners striker was recently stripped of the captaincy after his latest disciplinary breach and hasn’t played for the club since December 6.

Aged 32, on £350,000-a-week and out of form this season, Arsenal may be tempted to shift Aubameyang rather than bring him back into the first-team setup

Meanwhile, Xhaka is a player that has been constantly linked with a move away from the Arsenal for the last few seasons, with his performances on the pitch simply not good enough for a top Premier League player.

And with Mikel Arteta seemingly letting a number of players leave, The Gunners legend reckons the Swiss midfielder and fellow team-mate Aubameyang keep letting the squad down and should be shown the exit.

Campbell said to Football Insider: “I don’t think he should be at the football club.

“When he has played alongside Thomas Partey this season, he has played pretty well. At the moment, he is the best partner for Partey. We need an upgrade though.

“You cannot bypass or overlook the face that he keeps costing the team when he gets sent off. He’s an experienced player. He’s supposed to be leading by example.

“Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are not setting the right example. You cannot trust or rely on them.

“If you can’t trust Xhaka, what is the point in having him? I would rather have someone I can trust being on that pitch. He has done many stupid things.”

Look, there are a number of players at the Emirates that could be sold and they would not be missed, these two players are some of those. So the Gunners need to let them leave and bring in players that will actually make a difference to the side

Fiorentina’s general manager Joe Barone has admitted that they are willing to let Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic leave this transfer window

Now it is no secret that Mikel Arteta needs to add a new striker to that attack of his as he does not have the squad to get back inside those Champpions League places by the end of the seasons

Fans know all the troubles that Arteta is having with his strikers, and that has led to many reports in the media that a deal for Vlahovic is the Gunners number one priority this window.

The big striker is regarded as one of the best in Europe right now and is currently the top scorer in Seria A, with his performances alerting a number of top clubs to his services

But it has been Arsenal that have been leading the chase for the player, and indications suggest that an offer from the Gunners has been submitted and they are just waiting for a response from the Italians.

Now Fiorentina’s general manager Joe Barone has admitted that they are willing to let Vlahovic leave this transfer window, but not agreement is in place.

This was the translation given by the Metro: Barone explained: ‘Some English clubs have made contact, but there is no agreement yet. We are open [to selling] but there can’t be a deal unless someone [Vlahovic] agrees.’

On the lack of communication from Vlahovic’s representatives, he added: ‘I haven’t heard anything from them. I had asked Vlahovic’s agent to be clear, but I haven’t heard anything, no contacts at all.’

There will be rumour after rumours after rumour about this possible deal, but the Gunners need to get this man, he is just the type of forward they need in that attack right now

Liverpool target Bukayo Saka is staying at Arsenal for a long, long time, according to Steve McManaman.

Liverpool, who are currently second in the Premier League, are yet to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s squad during the January transfer window, despite all the transfer speculation saying that a few deals are on the cards.

But that has not stopped alot of speculation that Klopp is a massive fan of Arsenal star Saka, who is easily regarded as one of the finest young players in world football right now.

Saka has also established himself as one of Arsenal’s most important players and an England regular over the past three seasons, scoring six goals and making four assists in the Premier League this term.

There has been some talk in the media that Liverpool may try to make a move and take Saka away from the Emirates at the end of the season, a move that a number of Arsenal fans would hate to see happen.

But McManaman has rubbished those claims, writing on “Bukayo Saka would be an amazing signing for Liverpool but I can’t possibly see Arsenal selling a key player to a domestic rival.

“I can’t envision that move happening. He’s one of Arsenal’s star men.

“I’ve seen a lot of Arsenal this season and Buyako excites me more than any other player in their side.”

Saka is loving life right now and playing the minutes that he desires, so he probably does not have the itch to leave the London club. But if he wants to win more trophies, then a move to Liverpool will interest him in the future

But as we said, he has many more years left in his legs so he wont be looking to leave Arsenal anytime soon, as he is getting the game time he craves
