Jurgenm Klopp has been told price to pay to bring Koulibaly to Liverpool this January
Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has warned the likes of Liverpool they must offer at least £100m if they want to sign Kalidou Koulibaly this month.
Koulibaly is easily regarded as one of the most powerful and dominant players in the Italian Leagues, and has developed into one of the most impressive defenders in world football, which has alerted all the biggest clubs.
There has been alot of speculation that Liverpool are still very much interested in trying to sign Koulibaly, should he come onto the market, and are plotting to make a move at the end of the season, if you believe all the reports.
But Koulibaly, whose contract expires in summer 2023, has played in 18 games for Napoli this season, helping keep seven clean sheets, will not come cheap, as the likes of Liverpoolfc have been warned that they will have to pay close to £100 million to secure a transfer deal
De Laurentiis spoke to Jim White, and the Sky Sports News’ presenter relayed his conversation on talkSPORT.
“This morning, I spoke to Aurelio De Laurentiis, the Napoli owner, and said what about your player, are there bids in for him? He laughed it off saying he’s not for sale.
“It seems on this occasion Koulibaly is going nowhere. He stays and that was as recent as this morning. Anyone going in with anything other than £100million for Koulibaly can forget it.
“He’s absolutely not for sale unless one of the big clubs in England come up with £100million.”
Koulibaly is world class, there is no doubt about that, but Liverpool should never spend £100 million on a man, he is not worth more than Virgil Van Dijk
