Danny Murphy has urged Liverpool to sign Crystal Palace stars Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze if they decide to sell Mohamed Salah.
Salah has been in the transfer headlines for the past 12 months as there is alot of speculation that he is one player that Saudi Arabia clubs would like to sign once the transfer window opens up in just a few weeks.
The Egyptian star recently indicated that he would like to stay at Liverpool and win more trophies – but that ha snot stopped the rumours the board are open to the idea of letting him leave if the right offer does arrive.
But should they let their talisman go, Pundit Murphy wants LIVERPOOL to reinvest the money into signing Crystal Palace duo Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze.
Since the new manager arrived in February, the pair have a combined 10 goals and six assists in just 19 appearances, and both are heavily tipped to make transfer moves in the summer and join some big clubs.
Asked if Arne Slot would be able to get the best out of Darwin Nunez, who has somewhat underwhelmed at Anfield, Murphy said on talkSPORT: ‘It depends if Salah stays or goes as well.
‘If Salah goes, they’ll bring another person in, someone’s going to have to step up and get 25 goals. I wouldn’t sell Salah unless he’s saying, “I want to go”.
‘It depends on the amount. He’s 31 years old, £100million comes in and he wants to go, he’s got to go.’
Asked who could replace the prolific winger, Murphy added: ‘If I got £100million for Salah, I’d give the £100million to Palace and take Olise and Eze, I’d get two for the price of one.’

There should be alot of business over the summer for LIVERPOOL as we are expecting quite a few departures and arrivals – Salah is one of the best in the world – but his performances could drop now that Klopp is gone.
Olise and Eze could be great signings even if Salah stays – they are ready for that big move
LIVERPOOL WORKING ON KOOPMEINERS DEAL –
Liverpool are working to secure the signing of £60million rated midfielder, Teun Koopmeiners, as per reports.
Although LIVERPOOL improved their midfield last summer – the news that Thiago is departing the club when his contract is up will mean that the Reds will need to sign a ready-made replacement for the Spanish star.
And that has led to alot of speculation in the media that new boss Arne Slot is keen for LIVERPOOL to splash the cash and bring Koopmeiners to Anfield as his first big transfer signing for the club.
According to an exclusive story covered by RTK, the Reds are doing their homework to hire the services of the Dutch international from Atalanta, and reporter Graeme Bailey told the news source that Koopmeiners is an interesting player and could be a legitimate option for the Merseysiders. He said:
“I think he’s one who will no doubt they’ll be doing their work on, I think they’ll be aware of.”
And amid all the speculation – Kevin Strootman recently come out and backed his international team-mate to make a big move: “Koopmeiners and Zirkzee are doing very well,” Strootman told Radio TV Serie A, as transcribed by Tuttomercatoweb.
“Atalanta and Bologna are teams to be treated with great respect. I read that many top clubs would like them, they will also have their ambitions.
“They are players with extra quality and I hope they will also show it at the European Championship.
“I think after that they can choose wherever they want to go, I’m sure they are ready for a big leap.”

The Premier League is a much harder league than Seria A and stars like Koopmeiners may struggle in.

VAN DIJK MESSAGE –
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk is fully committed to helping new manager Arne Slot as the club transitions to the post-Jurgen Klopp era.
After months of speculation and rumours – Feynoord boss Arne Slot will be the man that takes over from Jurgen Klopp after the board decided that he was the man that will take over from the German.
He is coming to Anfield with a big reputation in the game and a man that likes to play entertaining football, but he will also need to get some transfer business done in order to get his new side playing the way he likes.
Mohamed Salah has been in the media over the past few days as there are more rumours that he could leave the club, but there has been alott of speculation about the future of powerful defender Van Dijk too.
Van Dijk is also in the final year of his contract and with him now 32-years-old, a decision has to be made on what comes next for him too and while the Netherlands international admits “change is sometimes a little bit scary” he trusts the club to make the right decisions following Klopp’s departure after eight-and-a-half years.
“My future is not important at the moment. At the moment there is nothing for me to say,” said the 32-year-old defender after the club bade an emotional farewell to Klopp following the 2-0 victory over Wolves.
“Nothing has changed and nothing is on the table either. No changes in my situation at all.
“The only thing I can say now is if I have a farewell I don’t think I would keep it dry (not cry) because that was something I was very surprised with with him (Klopp).”
