Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed from icfootballnews…

There has been some stunning claims that Darwin Nunez could be on his way out of Liverpool in the summer.

The departure of Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool will mean that a number of players may look to leave Anfield and seek a fresh challenge in the game – as many are there because of the German boss.

Incoming coach Arne Slot will hopefully get the backing of the board in the transfer window so he is able to sign the players that he feels will help Liverpool continue challenging for that Premier League title.

However – there has been some reports in the media lately that have linked Darin Nunez with a move away from the club – despite the fact he has come under intense pressure from the media and pundits over his inability to finish.

The 24-year-old has scored 18 goals in all competitions this season – but has constantly missed chances that a player at this level should not be missing, with many believing he is not good enough for the Premier League.

LIVERPOOL supporters are now concerned that this may be Nunez’s final season at Anfield after rumours emerged suggesting that Spanish giants Real Madrid are very interested in getting a transfer deal done for the forward.

Now – Sport in Spain reports that Jorge Mendes has offered Darwin Nunez to Barcelona, but there’s a condition here: a move to Barcelona would only work if Robert Lewandowski were to leave the club this summer.

It is a massive shock to see that Nunez could leave Liverpool – he has shown no real desire to want to pack his bags and depart the club – but it would be a massive opportunity for the man to play for Barca.

He will probably stay at LIVERPOOL in the summer – but it will be interesting to see what happens if an official offer arrives.

Crystal Palace are considering sanctioning the sale of their star defender Marc Guehi in the upcoming summer transfer window, with the likes of Liverpool linked.

Over the last few seasons – Jurgen Klopp has turned this LIVERPOOL side from challenging for a top six side into challenging for that Premier League title – something that nobody could have predicted.

There is still alot of speculation surrounding the players that Liverpool will look to sign over the next few transfer window and that has led to some rumours in the media which have claimed that Liverpool and Manchester United are both ready to battle it out for the signature of Guehi – who has been impressing at Palace.

According to Givmesport – Crystal Plalace know the value of Guehi and would allow him to depart the club should an offer arrive that they simply cannot refuse.

The centre-back has only two years left on his contract, which means this summer may be his club’s final chance to sell him for a major fee.

The England international is reportedly worth more than the club-record £50million Manchester United splashed for Aaron Wan-Bissaka in 2019.

Guehi has been very impressive this season and it would be interesting to see if he could handle the pressure of playing for one of the big clubs in the Premier League.

And the fact that he would add depth to the squad for not alot of money – he could be a very good signing for one of the clubs that is chasing his services in the summer window

However – we feel that he is not a player that incoming boss Arne Slot may be interested in and is more of a Klopp transfer target.

Liverpool have been encouraged to make sure that Trent Alexander-Arnold is tied down to a new club at Anfield.

LIVERPOOL have been doing alot of business over the last couple of transfer windows adding players to the side that will help get the club challenging for titles once again, but they are also keen to keep hold of some of their biggest players.

Alexander-Arnold has been criticized for many of his defensive displays during his time at the club , but that doesnt hide the fact that he is still one of the very best players in his position.

Alexander-Arnold has developed into one of the world’s best fullbacks during Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool reign, lifting the Premier League and Champions League alongside other domestic honours.

Now – Daniel Sturridge urged Liverpool chiefs to tie local icon Alexander-Arnold down to a fresh long-term deal, with his current contract expiring in June 2026 and rival teams likely to show interest in the 25-year-old.

He told Sky Sports: ‘That’s a tough one, because I think all the top clubs around Europe are going to be sniffing ‘Then you’ve got LIVERPOOL, who, I think they’ve got to do everything in their power to get him [Alexander-Arnold] to sign on a dotted line, because you can’t lose a man of Trent, you know, he’s from the city.

‘You’re talking guys like Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, who have represented one club and and I think that’s what you kind of want for Trent.

‘Of course, Mo [Salah] and Virg [Van Dijk], they’re guys that, you know, they’ve brought in.

‘They’ve been absolutely world class for the football club. But the local lad in Trent who’s become a superstar at the football clubs, he’s the one that you want to make sure,’ he added.
