Jurgen Klopp has been encouraged to complete Liverpool signing of Madrid star

Alan Hutton has told Liverpool to sign Federico Valverde from Real Madrid “now”.

Liverpool are easily one of the very best sides in the world – but they have had a start to the season that many did not expect and currently sit ninth down in the Premier League – yes NINTH

That has led to all sorts of speculation in the media that Liverpool will look to delve into that transfer kitty in the January window and add a few players to the side that will get them back in the hunt to win that Premier League and Champions League titles

And now – the Reds have been backed to raid Real Madrid and sign the very talented midfielder Velverde – who has been labelled the next Steven Gerrard.

LiverpoolFC have struggled in the midfield area this season after injuries to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, Thiago Alcantara, and Jordan Henderson.

What has Alan Hutton said?

When asked if the midfielder would be a good fit for Liverpool, Hutton told Football Insider: “I think so.

“I think he’s an outstanding player. I’ve seen him a few times for Real Madrid and he brings a lot of attributes to that midfield. Not only that, I think he can play higher up the pitch as well. So I get the comparison.

“It is definitely an area of the pitch where Liverpool need work over the next year or so. Defensively as a unit and in midfield they are struggling so he is definitely someone that could help them now, never mind in the future.“

Liverpoolfc made a massive mistake in the January window not adding a few more players to that squad – so they need to make sure that a couple are signed in January – but it will be interesting to see if Velverde is signed guys
