West Ham news: Boss to make £60 million move to sign defender

LIVERPOOL are reportedly making plans to sign West Ham star Nayef Aguerd in the January window.

WEST HAM spent some serious money over the course of the transfer window and added alot of players to the side that have really improved all areas of the pitch – but there is still some rumours that the board could get some deals done.

It has emerged over the past few days that Aguerd could be on his way to Saudi Arabia – as Al-Ittihad are very interested in doing a deal with the Hammers board for around the £24 million mark.

However – a move never happened and the Hammers managed to keep hold of the defender – which is a massive boost for David Moyes as he does not have the biggest squad in the Premier League.

But The Sun claims Jurgen Klopp will revisit his plan to strengthen his defence in January. And they claim he is targeting a move for highly-rated West Ham centre-half Aguerd when the transfer window re-opens in just 112 days.

WILL AGUERD BE TEMPTED BY LIVERPOOL?

If the reports are true and Liverpool are interested in a deal to sign Aguerd, it will be very hard for the man to turn down the opportunity to join one of the biggest clubs in world football.

He was even tempted by a big money move to Saudi Arabia – so if LIVERPOOL do actually come calling in the winter window, we would fully expect a transfer deal to happen.

Especially if the Hammers are lining up possible replacements.
