Here is a roundup from all today’s Liverpool headlines.

Reports have emerged which have claimed Real Madrid wanted to hire Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp in the summer.

After guiding Madrid to a third successive Champions League win, Zinedine Zidane took the surprise decision to step down as boss after rumours emerged which suggested he was all set to get the sack for his poor showing in La Liga.

That forced Madrid to act fast and hire a new manager, and with the likes of Antonio Conte, Klopp, Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola all in top jobs, they were forced to turn to Julen Lopetegui, the former Spanish boss who was sacked by the National side just before the world cup started.

But so far the Spaniard has failed to impress as boss of Madrid and there has already been suggestions that he could be sacked well before the January transfer window, especially if results keep going the way they have been.

And Lopetegui will not be impressed by the latest rumour to emerge, as the Sky Sports website has claimed Madrid actually wanted to hire Klopp after the departure of Zidane, but the German is a loyal guy and opted to stay at Liverpool to push on from last seasons success.

And Liverpool and Arsenal transfer target Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been urged to leave Chelsea in the January transfer window.

Regarded as one of the best talents England have to offer, Loftus-Cheek had the opportunity to leave Chelsea during the summer transfer window but opted to stay put and fight for his Blues future, with all indications he was set to get a chance under Maurizio Sarri.

But it just hasn’t happened for Loftus-Cheek, who has made just three appearances for the London club so far this term and that has led to speculation both Arsenal and Liverpool are ready to make cheeky moves and get a bargain deal done.

And Allardyce believes it’s time for Loftus-Cheek to finally call it a day with Chelsea, telling the TalkSport website: “I’m disappointed for Loftus-Cheek.

“Chelsea have told him he’s going to be a part of the team this season and, if that is the case, they haven’t lived up to that yet.

“What he did for Crystal Palace last season and for England at the World Cup, I thought this would be a big season for him at Chelsea, but it’s simply not happening.

“If I were Loftus-Cheek I would be battering the door down in January and saying, ‘that’s it, I need to get away’.
“And not on loan, get away from Chelsea properly and build his own career.

“He’s had the taste of playing first team football at Palace and obviously he loves Chelsea, but it’s not happening for him there.

“He’s got to play. He’s too talented not to play, we’ve all seen that.
