Liverpool’s new ‘magician’ the signing of the transfer window, Liverpool to make late £40 million move and Klopp deserves a medal for Thiago deal

Klopp deserves medal for Thiago deal, Liverpool to make late Brooks move and Liverpool fans told Thiago signing of the transfer window in Liverpool roundup..

Jose Enrique has backed Liverpool’s new “magician” Thiago Alcantara to be the signing of the season.

The Spain midfielder ended months of transfer speculation in the media after it as revealed that Liverpool were going to pay £27 million and bring the gifted midfielder to Anfield on a four-year contract.

He has already made a few impressive performances for Liverpool and Enrique believes Thiago will add a creative spark to Klopp’s side which has been lacking since Philippe Coutinho’s move to Barcelona in January 2018.

He also says his decision to join the Reds shows how far they have come in recent seasons: “He’s a phenomenal player. He’s a top midfielder but he’s also a magician in the way that [Philippe] Coutinho was,” the former Liverpool defender told the Daily Mail.

“I can see him alongside Jordan Henderson and Fabinho in midfield, giving the team something they didn’t have before. It says a lot about where the club is right now that someone who is an important player at Bayern Munich wants to come and play for Liverpool.”

Liverpool are among five Premier League clubs reportedly considering a late move for Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks.

After an impressive season with the Cherries last season, despite their relegation from the Premier League, Brooks has been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks that United are ready to swoop in and offer him a move to Old Trafford.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp failed to get the transfer business done that he really wanted too, and is reportedly still eager to add a bit more creativity to the side, and knows that he can still sign Brooks this week.

Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 lockdown, the summer market has been reshaped to help aid clubs, with a ten-week window opened on July 27 and ran until Monday, October 5, closing at 11pm.

However, Premier League clubs can no longer do business with teams in Europe and around the world but they can look to keep spending, This is because the top-flight and EFL have agreed on a second, domestic-only window until October 16th

The Daily Mail reports that five Premier League teams are monitoring the Wales international’s situation, as Manchester United and Tottenham are among the interested parties, while league leaders Everton and Europa League participants Leicester City are also reportedly considering an approach.

Jurgen Klopp “deserves a medal” for getting Thiago Alcantara to Liverpool, says Danny Murphy.

Liverpool fans were delighted to welcome Thiago onto their books, and Murphy claims that Klopp needs a medal for getting this deal done, the Ex-Reds midfielder Murphy told the Football Index Podcast of that business: “I think Thiago is an unbelievable acquisition because he is one of the only players in Europe who could improve Liverpool’s midfield.

“Even at 29 years old, he will give Liverpool at least three or four years and it was a brilliant bit of business for the fee involved as well.

“I first watched Thiago at Barcelona and the game looked effortless for him. Thiago is a midfielder that can dictate the tempo of a match like [Paul] Scholes used to, and there aren’t many of them about.

“Thiago has the ability to always have time on the ball because of the movement he does to create space. He very rarely loses the ball when he is pressed because of his awareness.

“Thiago is an absolute steal at that price. Klopp deserves a medal for convincing him because the Liverpool fans are going to adore him.”
