Will Tuchel leave Chelsea?

Southampton star Timo Livramento has addressed the rumours that he could make a sensational move back to Chelsea in the future

The Saints have benefited from the west Londoners this season. The summer transfer window saw Armando Broja and Dynel Simeu arrive from Stamford Bridge alongside Livramento.

The young man has become a real fans favourite at the Saints this season and his impressive performances have even led to suggestions that the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool are planning a possible move when the transfer window opens up.

Chelsea will have the chance to re-sign the 19-year-old from the summer of 2023 for £38 million after watching his performances this season, and the young man has addressed the possible rumours that he could make a move back to the club

“Maybe one day, but I’m just enjoying my football at the moment at Southampton, that’s where my head’s at right now,” Livramento said ahead of the last meeting between the clubs.

“[I am] Just trying to pick up as many points as possible and improving individually.”

Here is what Thomas Tuchel said about the young man earlier in the season

“Yes of course he was highly rated,” Tuchel said of Livramento back in October ahead of the sides’ first meeting. “We did everything to keep him here, to show him his future and his possibilities to compete for a position in our team.

“He decided to go, that was his decision and you sometimes have to accept. There are not hard feelings because we can show him possibilities and then it is on the player. He was of course competing with Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta on the right wing-back position. I think it was an ideal position to fight because the group wasn’t too big.

“There was a big chance for him to make it all the way. He decided to go and it’s fair enough, we wish him all the best. We saw the potential, he decided to go another way and fight for a place at Southampton.”

Livramento is making a real name for himself at the Saints, but we have seen in the past that players that make a move back to Chelsea – never get the chance to shine – or do not perform at the level that many expect

Maybe the best thing for Livramento is to not go back to the Bridge?
