Incoming signing ‘will have great success’ at new club Chelsea – Frenchman announces

Bixente Lizarazu predicted Christopher Nkunku to be a great success at Chelsea.

Nkunku had been in the headlines alot before the January window – and there were some big clubs interested in a potential deal for the Frenchman – but it was Chelsea that won the race for the striker.

IcFootballnews understands a deal to bring Nkunku to Stamford Bridge this summer has been agreed, The former PSG forward will reportedly make the move to the Premier League for a fee worth £50million

The PSG academy graduate moved to Leipzig in 2019 and has recorded a highly impressive 70 goals and 56 assists in 172 games across all competitions, winning Bundesliga Player of the Season in 2022 and finishing.

And Speaking to Wettbasis,  The former Bayern Munich and French international said: “His development was rapid and spectacular. He has become a complete player, capable of being used in almost any position in attack.

“This versatility also makes him so strong and important. His freshness and self-confidence made him a great player in an environment like Leipzig, where he was able to flourish.

‘He took on more and more responsibility. Now he seems to be giving the impression that he’s ready for the next step.

“Certainly the competition is greater in the Blues than in Leipzig, but there too he has the potential and the prerequisites to become a permanent fixture very quickly.

‘His style of play with his speed, pace and technical qualities could create a lot of spectacle and enthusiasm in the Premier League…”

CHELSEA made sure that they were the club that signed Nkunku back in January – they will be hoping that he is worth the hassle.

He has proven himself to be a very good player over in the Bundesliga – but he will need to adapt to the Premier League quickly in order to be a success.
