£200k-a-week star ‘is a top signing’ for Chelsea after moved confirmed!
Former France international Bixente Lizarazu believes that Christopher Nkunku is a top signing for CHELSEA..
It is in Germany that Nkunku built his reputation as one of the finest forwards in European football. He scored 35 goals in all competitions during the 2021/22 campaign and was named Bundesliga Player of the Season.
The versatile attacker struck a further 23 goals this season to help Leipzig secure a third-place finish in the Bundesliga and retain the DFB-Pokal – but he has now stepped up to one of the biggest clubs in the game.
The 25-year-old made a pre-contract agreement to join the club in December but has now completed the move for a reported £63million – on a contract that will last for the next six-years.
Speaking after the Blues confirmed the attacker had joined from RB Leipzig, he said: “His development was rapid and spectacular.
“He has become a complete player, capable of being used in almost any position in attack.
“This versatility also makes him so strong and important.
“His freshness and self-confidence made him a great player in an environment like Leipzig, where he was able to flourish.
‘He took on more and more responsibility. Now he seems to be giving the impression that he’s ready for the next step.
“He has the potential and the prerequisites to become a permanent fixture very quickly.
“His style of play with his speed, pace and technical qualities could create a lot of spectacle and enthusiasm in the Premier League.”

We can all sit here and say that Nkunku is a massive signing for Chelsea from what he has achieved at the Bundesliga giants – but we just dont know what he will do in the Premier League.
He could be a brilliant signing – or he could be another Kai Havertz.
