Chelsea news: £40M powerhouse ‘being offered a ton of money’ to get transfer deal done
It has been claimed that Romelu Lukaku is offered alot of money to quit Chelsea this summer tansfer window.
His time in Italy was not perfect as injuries played a part, but he still managed to net 14 goals for the Italians and help them reach that Champions League final – where they lost to Man City.
It is widely believed that he does not want to make a move back to the club – that he would prefer to stay in Italy – and the Italians are reportedly in talks over another deal with the Blues.
However – he is also been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia – and is being offered a ton of money in order to make the move there in the next couple of months
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “I think we all know that Lukaku’s main objective is to go back to Inter Milan. That’s what he wants.
“But, on top of that offer, he’s now got the fact that the Saudis keep coming back offering shed loads of money to go and take that challenge.
“I’m told, clearly, that Lukaku doesn’t want to just move there at this stage. He is still ambitious and he really does enjoy his life in Milan. But, obviously, if the offers keep coming, your head’s going to eventually turn.
“It is a key week for the Lukaku transfer and CHELSEA certainly would like the scenario cleaned up as quickly as possible.
‘We’ve seen, already, that they do like giving players to the Saudis when they can because they know that they get top money.”
WILL LUKAKU GO TO SAUDI ARABIA?
Look – we have seen some big players make the move over there already – money talks and if Inter Milan cannot pay the asking price that Chelsea desire – then Lukaku will have no choice.
He clearly wants to stay in Italian football – but they dont want to pay his £40 million asking price and then match his wage – it will be an interesting to watch over the next few weeks that is for sure.
